Wow little hamster - what opk are you using?
Go make out!
Today's wbb class was very interesting - focusing on how to take care of babies - bathing, carrying, swaddling. oh my - baby so fragile !! scary!! What she stressed on was how parents need to be the main caregivers and bond with the child, not the maids and not the confinement nanny. Oh - she also talked about the placenta encapsulation thingy and that it has no proven medical benefits and appears to be "carnivorous". That said - it is up to each individual's mummy's choice.
What she said resonated very strongly with me as initially I was planning to let confinement nanny look after for 2 months so I can have ample rest and well, get used to baby being around. But how wrong I was with this "slacker" thinking. Baby's strongest sense is smell - I dont't want baby to associate nanny's smell as the main caregiver!!! Nanny and maid can be the helper. She even gave specific examples of how parents should bath and carry the baby - but never allowing maid and nanny to do those additional steps.
And hahaha - finally my old man attended class with me!
Happilymarried - you should book a wbb class. =)
Do agree that the parents should be the main caregives to build the bond..my personal view is that confinement lady main objective is to take care of the mother and assist in the house work if possible so that the mother could take care of the baby..having said that..it still depends on each individual. .Originally Posted by littlej:818758
Whats your husband comments about the class?
littlej - im groggy from my night dose of progesterone... but cant sleep due to bladder (had to pee!) n hmm feeling constipated once again... urgh!! I'm someone who cant overdose on fruits also cuz may get gastric... this is tricky business if I dont wanna depend on stool softener... =(
hehe... newborns are indeed fragile... I'm starting to be very nervous... hubby & I cant even agree on a boy's name yet! I hope I will be prepared when the time does come!
I will book wbb's class in nov... the online registration on website is down! urghh!! called up the hotline spoke to a young girl on monday.. emailed on monday & called today.. still no reply... y does Thomson Medical Center work this way?? no wonder I gave up on them! missy10 & gnissim r you interested? the person said for edd in jan/feb should attend nov class, not oct class... I m hoping to catch weekend classes for sake of hubby... I can send you schedule if & once I receive...
Littlej I am curious on your man's reaction at wbb class (is this the first time he joined you?). My man thinks all these baby caring comes with instinct. But I told him it may be true. ..but take it in another light that such classes are for early bonding purpose too. So he kinda says ok we can go next time. So am wondering your hubby sees the "light" last night
wow well done dragontail...you did the jab! i'm also planning to go for ivf if all things dont succeed for next few mths coz the counselling session is in October! (imagine so many couples going for it that i've got to queue for mths!) I hope I got the courage to jab myself ..if not, will ask my hubby to do for me.hahaha. Anyway the consolation was the doc was saying i only need 2 weeks jab. Hope this remains the truth.
littlehamster- jia you! Dr wu also gave me 3 dates only but i bd one more coz of the ewcm....but yesterday getting slight AF cramps...lalalalala
the active ingredient in puregon is bio engineered from a Chinese hamster's ovary.
i dont know why i find this funny
You know you are visiting glen e way too often when you start to recognise some dogs which are being walked and some joggers in the morning along the stretch of Holland leading to the hospital -_-
Poohy, oh hope you get lucky naturally . I am sure ivf is surely all our last resort. How does the subsidy work for ivf? Do you pay everything first, at every visit, then get the reimbursement? Btw, iui has no subsidy ?
Hee the jab is ok after couple of times. Anyone will get the hang of it
littlej: this cycle i using a mix of internet cheapies and fortel opk. and i have 0 balance opk now.. think to buy some later lunch or after work or not buy hmm
quincy: really from hammy ovary? maybe because rodents has high reproducibility?
happilymarried: you taking progesterone now? during the period while I am on progesterone pills my constipation problem is at new high. lol I think too much progesterone will cause serious consti so you really have to load up lotsa and lotsa of water. once you stop the pill you shld feel better...
dragontail- yar hopefully can get bfp naturally...this month dont dare to test...waiting for end of week or next week if AF comes. If no then i will test. dont really have the courage to test.
Morning everyone! It's CD4 of the new cycle, and to be frank, I've never had cramps so bad, nor till day 4! Usually I only have backaches, tummy cramps and calf aches on CD1&2. Now, everything is still aching and cramping plus the flow is still heavy. Usually now I can start using thinner pads and slowly ease back to liners.
Could it be due to the removal of the polyp?! Anyway I just have to tahan through this week, and then it's time to work that bed! Lol. This is first cycle after hsg and polyp removal so we are keeping fingers crossed that everything will be smooth going coz there's no 'traffic jam' from the start point to destination eggy! Hahahaha
Poohy, then let it be a no-test cycle! Too much poas also not so good for the mind Good luck!
Have some follies (i think they are at my left) and I told Dr I start to have ewcm. Coming back on friday afternoon as he likes to have close monitoring. Continuing the jab.
littlehamster: oh you are right ! i read that somewhere.
Shez: i would also think it's cuz your removal of the polyp
dragontail- how much per visit now that you visit dr quite frequently? sounds costly woh...and your office can let you have so many time off? yar i also think i should have a no-test cycle.hahaha...been resisting to test coz i cant bear to see a bfn....so rather let it be 'see red' or '2 lines' theory.
shez- maybe clearing up all your old blood/congestion...all the best for upcoming cycle! so exciting to know the 'passage way' is cleared...=)
there's this silly thing in my chest i had to share.
yesterday at the atm machine, me and hubby saw 2 "good" friends in their jogging gear.
(sorry i seem so discriminating. blame it on my hubby. i wed to a man with foul mouth .)
1 of them was in total white. top, shorts, shoes. and he was wearing those kind of hip-hugging shorts,
you know those kind that is a trend among army guys.
well i would discourage men from wearing white hip hugging shorts because this guy,
i couldnt differentiate if he want to look sexy to his partner or he is trying to look like a grown man wearing diapers.
i had this 2 imagination in my mind.
my bad. if it helps, my sister is not straight either
stuborn n naggy ^^ me the st maria online
good thing i lost count easily. hope it helps to keep my mind off in this way.
and also now i can roughly calculate my O date once i see my af. i hope my cycle stays regular.

quincy: haha big baby
shez: rest more and eat/drink more iron rich food so wont get anemia!
Poohy, I dont’t hold a desk bound job so my boss basically doesnt wish to see me much at all. LOL.
Ok, this round I do make a worksheet to record the spend at Dr Chew’s. We have spent $3k ish since June. To me, of course there must be an “ultimatum”. I wont see any fertility specialist indefinitely. If after trying several methods and we still cant conceive, there must be something “not right” somewhere. And if Dr Chew cant help me in that department ultimately, me and hubby at this point have come to an agreement that we will give up medical assistance and see what God has for us already. Maybe the “right” part is just all about timing and the Gift (if there is) for us.
We will try this cycle and the next and after that we will explore our options.
Shez, sounds like an exciting cycle coming up for you! Make sure you and hubby eat a bit of por this cycle and chiong already!
Shez did the doctor say that your menses will be different from your usual after the polyp removal? You may want to give the clinic a call and check with them because I dont't remember having heavier mense even after my laparoscopy. There was light spotting for 12 days after the procedure but that was about it. My mense after that was sort of normal or I can say even lighter than the usual. Maybe Littlej can advise you too since she went for the procedure before.
Dragontail: wow you even go calculate how much you spend? Heh I dont dare coubt. I also never keep a record. But guess I spend alot too 1.5 yrs at traditional chinese medicine. Hmmm. R you in 2ww yet?
Hehe yeah, gnissim, this time round I make a conscious effort to pen the figures down. Of course those traditional chinese medicine and past trying to concieve expenses I didnt record. Also not little I would think.
I have not o-ed. Should be early next week.
