Yukki, did you ask your gynae for the charges? Will you be claiming the government subsidy ?

    We are trying to concieve-ing!

Hi yukki, just for your info, currently I'm doing iui in NUH. I got the subsidy from polyclinic. So for my charges for each IUI is $300. Before proceed to IUI, me n my hubby will need to take an injection (cannot remember how much does this cost), after that they will do a scan to check whether do I ovulate or not. The charges for each scan $30. After they confirmed the size of the egg, need take another injection for the eggs to drop. The needle cost $70.

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

After 20 days of Lucrin n Gonal F for IVF, finally I experience heavy headache, nausea n a bit abdominal pain. Not sure if good or not. Btw, I will be doing 1 more scan on Monday to see if the follicles are big enough for retrieval. If yes, my ER N ET should be next week.

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

Yukki, for private can use medisave

    read up on this

Source: Hey ♥ Baby - Medisave for Assisted Conception Procedures
To help couples better afford the cost of ACP treatments, they can withdraw from their Medisave, up to $6,000, $5,000 and $4,000 for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd withdrawals respectively. They can use it for treatments such as in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) and intra-uterine insemination (IUI).

IIRC, someone told me dont't use govt subsidy for IUI if it's the intention to go ivf in future. Something about the subsidy "more worth it" if you keep for ivf. But maybe IUI will be successful then how? Haa sorry I'm not contributing. just sharing what I heard someone saying about this

Today positive opk. Tomorrow one last shot of bd. Today take a break since bd last night.

That's what I heard so. My colleague thinking of doing iui n she ask whether can claim. Coz she already have 1 child, she say dont want to go to the extend of IVF but she at Raffles Hospital.

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

    Haha catch 22 situation.

if iui on time tio, then wasted the funding

And yes, usually people will use funding for ivf cost more

Cos first time withdrawal is $6k. If use for iui ($1500), then will waste the balance of the first withdrawal.

why can't the government let us bring forward the balance ....

My sis used the subsidy and medisave for her ivf. I think she paid very little in the end.

    We are trying to concieve-ing!

I opt to use funding for my IV. I already signed the Mediasave withdrawal already before I started my IVF.
