I'm stay at home mum and breastfed son till 18 months old, through latching on only.
Of cos, fresh from breast would contain nutrition in the freshest form.
Moreover, as baby latches on to stimulate supply, the breasts would supply according to baby's nutritional need at that point in time. Everything's on auto mode.
Personally, I find latching on more time saving cos no need to wash / sterilize / label / store / thaw / warm up, etc. When my boy was about 3-4 months old, he became an expert in sucking, done with both sides in 15 minutes. When older, done in 5 minutes! And when latching him on, I can sit down with 2 hands free to fold clothes or sort simple things.
The direct stimulation from latching on is also much better for me as my supply is not stable when pumping. Also, I didn't have to bother about how much son was taking in; I trust that he'd suck till he's full. This way, also less stress.
That's why I prefer latching on. May you find your preference soon.
