hello mummies, what do you do when you run out of space in the freezer? buy a seperate freezer is one option, throw awy is so sinful and heartpain... want to give away but nobody wants other pple EBM..how how how..really dont't know what to do..
I did the milk bath thing!!
Lol, but still need to rinse cos baby felt so sticky. If you have elder kids, give the extra to them.
haha..my mum told me KK used to collect these extra EBM.. but i checked out the website n couldn't find any information on that..haha.. but i read on some websites that they used EBM in baking but who would want to eat them?? haha...
I use it for my daughter's milk bath and rinse it off after that.
My hubby use it to soak his feet as the milk make his feet very soft and my mum used to do milk facial but she complained about rancid smell later on..
Try posting it in the Exchange and Free Gift corners. I posted once and someone actually wants the milk. At least the milk dont't "go down the drain."
So envious... I only have daily supply now and sometimes have to supplement 1-2 times, depending on the time I reach home. Cant seem to be able to stock up now that I have returned to work and with my travelling, its really near impossible.
my mom and grandma use some of my leftover milk for face mask. put on the face leave for 10-15min then wash with facial foam. this practice been around for my family for many generations.
at the prenatal class i attended at kk the nurse told me we can drink our own milk if we want to so not to waste it.
What I did was I bought a chest freezer to stock my excess mik. The chest freezer is those market stalls used to store meat. As milk stored in chest freezer can last 6 to 12 months, all the milk were drank by my girl. I also rotate the milk with fresh milk so that the frozen milk are not store too long.
After I stopped expressing milk ( I exclusively pump milk), the frozen milk lasted a month. After that, I sold the chest freezer via online auction.
