Personally I think porridge twice a day seven days a week is boring and does absolutely nothing for a child's eating skills (chewing, swallowing, etc). I'd give things like pasta, rice and noodles.
You can start introducing egg yolk first as egg whites are more allergenic.
Eva's menu is basically a variety of stuff made up of the following (every meal is different):
Breakfast: Cereal with/without fruit, yogurt with fruit/cereal, muffin, pancake
Lunch: Combo of veg-meat with pasta, rice or bread/pancake eg lasagna, steamed fish + broccoli + tomato with pasta/rice, pasta with veg combo and grated cheese, rice with steamed egg + broccoli + carrot and teriyaki codfish, red cabbage with carrot and chicken stew, etc.
Dinner: As the same with lunch but I make sure that I dont't repeat the same dish.
Snack: Fresh fruit, apple rings, corn cakes, rice cakes, puffs, etc.
Sometimes when I cook things like pizza, pasta or kuey teow soup, steamed chicken, etc, I will also allow Eva to take some. Note that I dont't put any salt in all these items even though it's for me and the hubs. If it's not salty enough, we can add it upon eating.
