My replies in blue. I try my best to answer all questions.
I'm not a kitchen person.
So everything I prepare for Dylan now, I gotta source out to books, internet, etc on how to cook, store, choose everythine.
I've started Dylan on Semi-Solids when he was about going 6months.
He started off with Belamy's Rice Cereal.
Then, Sweet Potato Puree.
Then, Brown Rice Cereal.
Then, Apple Puree.
Then, Banana Puree.
Next, Pumpkin Puree.
In between e 4day wait rule for a new food, I will switch back to foods which he have tried or mix puree with cereal for his meal.
I've bought many avacados each time,
And all seem to over-ripe?
Became dark brown when left at room temperature to ripe but still not soft?
Cause I read from book that avacados are very good food for babies.
When you say turn dark brown is the skin outside right? Did you try to cut open to see if inside is soft? Usually when my avocados are dark brown I will cut and the inside is quite soft already.
Also, When do you all start giving your baby 2 meals a day?
My baby was on 2 meals a day when he was 8 mths. Only increase solid meals when your baby doesn't seem to be full. Every baby is different. My baby is now almost 10mths and is on 3 meals but not many people I know feed their babies 3 meals until they are 1 yo.
Then if you all got go out, how you all bring the meal out?
Cos Dylan is currently eating about 3 tablespoon, if put in Thermal Food Container, so little pathetic, so little. lols.
If is eating cereal, I will bring the powder out then do it up when he is ready to eat. For porridge, I will cook at home, mix the vege when the porridge is cooked then transfer to thermal. Yes, it's very little, so when I am bringing the food out I will cook a little bit more as some will be wasted when scooping.
Also, now I using those commercial cereals.
After finishing these commercial cereals.
I want to cook my own.
So brown rice & rice, I just buy those rice. Grind to powder & store?
When want to cook just add hot water and cook over fire?
When then they can just the rice as a whole? no need grind?
Like normal porridge we eating just that theirs have to cook longer so all the rice become mushy?
I cook my boy's porridge using slow cooker. I use 1 soup spoon white rice and 200ml water and cook using high mode on slow cooker for 1.5-2hrs. Usually by the end of the cooking, the porridge is very soft and I just stir and the porridge will get mashed up all by itself. I have no experience with brown rice.
When can they start drinking those juice & eating finger food?
I've tried giving him Heinz Teething rusk but he dont know how to bite leis
I introduced very diluted juice to my son to try to let him drink water. My son also dont't like to eat finger food but also because he dont't have teeth yet. dont't worry. This one can slowly introduce.
