Just wanna share my very unpleasant encounter at The Best Beauty Centre today. I purchased the coupon for eyebrow embroidery from Juztoday.com at $68 (JuzToday.com - 76% OFF Eyebrow Embroidery & Unlimited Eyebrow Trimming! | Singapore Daily Deals | Group Buying | Discount Coupons). I was force to sign up for another type of eyebrow package at $880. The eyebrow specialist was so forceful that i felt like crying. I was persistent and insist that i do not want the $880 package. She kept telling me that i can pay by instalment. Then she did the embroidery very badly (super dark and awful), i told her i dont't feel like doing it anymore, really. Another specialist came and i asked her to do it for me please cos i really do not want to sign up for the $880 package. She walked away. The specialist who was attending to me then has no choice but to do the embroidery but told me that you have to pay additional sum of money when you next come for touch up or pay $150 now instead of another $88 one month later. I told her i will not come for the touch up cos i do not want it to be so dark. In the end they made me pay for the cream at $48 and threatened that if i do not get it my brow will get infection. I have no choice but to pay it and left quickly. Another customer then waited for me and asked what happened cos she heard the conversation and saw how they forced me to dead end. She has also advised me not to go back again. She also felt conned to sign up for their brow trimming package. I have learnt a very painful lesson here. Do not trust those deals and these type of services. Nothing in this world is free. I am thinking of going CASE. Please share this piece of advice with your love ones.
Thanks for warning us! I almost wanted to get the deal on Streetdeal.sg today!
Thanks for sharing. me also think of getting it.
And you know what? My brows are now one side lighter than the other. I was so upset I went back to show her. She said ya, she knew that one side will be lighter. Wth! Does it means that she deliberately did it one side lighter? Worst thing is, remember I mentioned the deal came with a year of free brow trimming? She still wanna con me for another trimming package at $200 this time. Fyi, she did not offer to touch up and still charged me $10 for eyebrow trimming. So you see, nothing is free and I will never return again. Anyone knows if this is a local coy?

Dont go back to the shop again. Just lodge complaint with CASE if possible.
Perhaps need to go another recommended shop (like your friends go before one) to ask them to repair it for you such as make both sides the same shade etc...
Thanks blueocean! I wanna get hold of the email address before considering CASE. Apparently their email address is not published.
I can imagine how you felt. They did smth wrongly and still told you like they did it deliberately. *shake head*
I have been quite skeptical about buying such coupons ever since I was also sort of conned by a baby photoshoot coupon I bought. Although for my case, they did mention I would only get 4 wallet-sized photos back for the $18 I'd paid , but after I brought my baby for the photoshoot, they then told me I had no choice over the selection of the photos. Then in the end the person could still tell me that the actual price for such photoshoots is only $48, instead of the $200+ which the deal claimed it was. So the XX discount off that you see in these coupons are actually quite deceiving.

True and I agree with you. Thanks Dilys.
Any good recommendations, I am very keen to do eyebrow embroidery but not too sure which salon is good..have heard alot of #1 Amy @ Bishan but heard super long Q.. hence is wondering is there any other reliable & affordable place like #1 Amy. Hope to hear from some kind souls to give me your precious advise.
Hi - just did my eyebrow embroidery today ... got a coupon from a deal site today - went to Angels Eye Salon at Toa Payoh Central, Block 185 ...Small store but the two ladies were very nice - the lady who did my eyebrows was Anna and her assistant was Elaine...They did ask me if I want to 'upgrade' to the creative eyebrow embroidery but I declined and they were nice about it. Elaine helped me shape the eyebrows and Anna did the actual embroidery - she was fast and deft with her hands so hardly any pain doing it - prob like ants pinching only (depends on pain tolerance I guess on what's considered hardly painful) ... then after done, she did some finishing touches and I got the eyebrow aloe vera healing cream from her. All in all, not pushy and nice ladies with decent prices and skills.
Here's a photo of my new eyebrow embroidery - still quite dark and not scabbing or peeling off yet ... a little too dark for my liking but patiently waiting for it to lighten over time - hope i dont end up looking like a 'freak' when it starts peeling or scabbing :-) (excuse the forehead shine - flash of camera plus oilier t-zone than usual) ...
I had mine done previously at Browhaus last 2006. Its called the brow resurrection. They did a good job and until now you can still see it though quite light so i need to outline it with eyebrow powder. it is very pricey though. Checked their website and saw that now its at $1200. I wanted to faint. If you have the budget and want good service go for it.
I bought a deal at Outlet Singapore. I need to have my brows done again and will use it this June. Let you all know how it is. Cross fingers!! Hopefully all goes well.
"The Deal: $68 instead of $478, 86% off 1 Eyebrow Embroidery Session + 1-Year Unlimited Eyebrow Threading by Sophia Brow House. 3 Convenient Locations: Marine Parade, Toa Payoh, Bugis".
I think some of the deals put out for eyebrow embroidery are quite decent ... but some are really 'cannot make it' standards .. :-p ... maybe good to have friends who have gone to that particular salon before to check it out to review the experience before deciding on that deal ... :-)
Nikikay - let us know how the experience at Sophia Brow goes - but i def not wanting to pay 1.2k on brows alone!! :-p
Sure will let you know. I also bought for my mom and she is having her brows done this May. Update soon.
Hi Ling198 - sorry didn't reply earlier - paid $68 for my eyebrow embroidery. It's only started to scab now since I did it - so far, colour has stayed well and no issues with it.. :-) you intending to do it?
Just wanted to share the same experience of getting forced to pay for the $880 package at Best! However, after getting conned for $68 and refusing to be conned for more, they did a very bad and nasty job! Thank god my friend recommended me to Rebirth Aesthetics at Orchard Plaza to get it corrected. Luckily after paying another $150 and getting it corrected and touched up on 2 separate sessions, my eyebrows actually look good. In case any one would like to get hers done or corrected, I'll just share the contact, Yuki at 9757 0330. She is very professional and most importantly, not pushy!

I'm sorry Melissa that you got pushy people when you took on the $68 deal ... For me, I too took on the deal at $68 but didnt have pushy people - she invited me to look at other things but I gently told her no - not looking at that now - the lady nicely backed off and didnt ask more and did what she needed to do and she took pride in her job doing the eyebrow embroidery. There will be people out there who push like crazy and 'con you' but there will equally be some who are nice about it - I take it they all have to make a living - but just that relating to their customers sometimes can be done in a nicer way, especially when asking if the customers would like to have more done at their shop. For me, I won't mind going back to Angel's Eyes at Toa Payoh to do my brows again - it was a pleasant experience overall there. Just feel regret for you that you got a 'not so nice' person at a 'not so professional and integrity-based' place to do your brows :-( ...Hope this doesnt put you off doing your brows again in the future ...
Has anyone heard of Min's beauty located at Lucky Chinatown? My BFF recommend this place to me but i am trying to gather some reviews before I decide. Price wise I just check their website: minsbeautystudio.com is the same as Amy#1 @ Bishan $150 ( 1 x free touch up)
Here is the update on my mom's "eyebrow embroidery" which was done in Sophia Brow House at Marine Parade.
$68 instead of $478, 86% off 1 Eyebrow Embroidery Session + 1-Year Unlimited Eyebrow Threading by Sophia Brow House. 3 Convenient Locations: Marine Parade, Toa Payoh, Bugis".
We were talked into getting the [you]4D Eyebrow[/you]. We had to top up $300+. Still happy with the results as my mom had sad eyes and the results were really good.
The before and after Pic.
before used eyebrow pencil to draw 4D Eyebrow
Would like to share if anyone is interested, that I have an extra package from Browhaus for Brow Resurrection that I would like to let go as I've just gotten mine done (at Browhaus too). Bought an extra for my mom but she didn't want to do it.
Hence I'm willing to let it go at cost price of $6xx. The package also includes 1 touch-up session.
Do PM me if interested.
Aren't you people afraid that the colour will be too dark and you will look funny or something liddat?
I am super lazy to draw my brows everyday for work, but im skeptical about doing eyebrow embroidry. How?
