Normally air-con 电板 (English call what?) cost how much?

My previous renovator re-wired my air-con n when I switched on, it wasn't working. They claimed they checked after re-wiring but the fact was it was spolit!

They told me to pay for own servicing n the quotation for just that air-con is $450 .... this sum can buy a portable air-con

    So repair or buy portable?
Any cheap n reliable air-con serviceman to recommend?

How old is your aircon & what model is it?
Depending on age & model, it may be worth it to repair. But if it's very very old, then may not be worth repairing.

Is it the electronic motherboard that's faulty? Or the switchboard?

I have a reliable A/C guy to recommend. My husband's friend. Father & son team, very honest but they are quite busy. If you want to ask them for a quote to compare, email me.

    Re: air-con

the motherboard is very expensive, the most expensive item to repair if its spoilt. This item is the main item for multi-split units to work.

my last quote from my contractor was $380 to change a new motherboard.

sometimes its more worth it to change the whole condenser unit if tats the case. Coz sometimes it doesnt mean you change the motherboard means problem solved. Very tricky.
