My experience was only above average, not great. Why do I say that? Firstly, it took Thomson Medical Center overall half a year to confirm a maternity lady for me. As a matter of fact, my CL was only confirmed 2 weeks before my delivery even though I registered half a year before. Also, called them quite a few times in between the period for updates. Think they are rather disorganized.
My Singaporean CL was a young grandmother of 3 grown up children and a few grand kids. I asked her and she said Thomson Medical Center gave a 2 days talk cum some demonstration (so called training), that's all. Mind you they charge above market rate. I paid 2.5k and also gave her 2 red packets out of our own packet although Thomson Medical Center mentioned to give at least one at the beginning.
I liked it that she was attentive to my baby, often stay alert and hear out for his cries. 'Hear out' because she also cooked meals and busy in the kitchen. Otherwise, Thomson Medical Center specified that their CLs dont't wash any laundry and do any other housework.
So in summary, Thomson Medical Center CLs dont't wash, do anything else other than cook and take care of baby. Once however, she nearly dropped my baby off her lap (I was with her in the room) during night feeding because she was dozing off !..
You may have better luck than I did!
