I am going to take a maid.. after not having a maid for nearly a year
My maids duty would be to look after my one yr old toddler and do household chores. I will be installing cctv when i go to work.
Can any mummy share some schedule as to how your maids juggle the household chores and looking after your child? When they mop/cook etc?

Daily my maid gets up at 7am takes a bath and has breakfast before i go to work.I give her a list of chores to do and what to prepare for me to cook when i come back. iI have told her that my housework is to be done when my 8 month old baby is sleeping. She sends my 23mth old to school with my baby goes marketing and plans the day by herself on how to do the chores. She has to cook lunch for my baby and both children dinner 2 as well as her own lunch. If you trust her let her plan her day just put your stand that when i come back i want my house clean.Today i came back at 12 without telling her.Lunch for herself was ready and baby had his lunch already. My house was cleaned also.Relax just like us they also need to learn to do their own time management.
Do you really need a maid at home? Putting a maid at home is just like a bomb at home, cannot scold her, face will turn black.Next day weather she treat the baby well.If can put baby in ccc will save all these problems
I just tell her what needs to be completed and leave her to plan her own time.
I told her priority is my boy, housework can be done when I'm home to look after my boy.
My maid has worked in large households before and know how to manage her time and my expectations. When something not done properly, we just tell her nicely that need to wipe again or wash again. So far never seen black face from her before. Cos we always ask nicely and all requests come with basic manners like 'please' & 'thank you'.
How you treat your maids will be how your kids will treat them too. I want my son to respect her as his caregiver, not his servant.
BTW, be prepared to change maids if the maid is not suitable. I changed a few maids before we found my current maid.
And as with all jobs, adequate praise, acknowledgement of work done and reward is necessary to motivate your maid
Empty vessels make the most noise
Same here i didnt make any schedule for my maid, just that i will let her knw what r the things that need to be done by the end of the day n her priorities for her work tats all.
She just need to do chores n taking care of my 1yr old ger but of coz priority is my ger n as for chores she normally do it during the morning~
Remember that they are humans too. Theywill also need resting time. I told my maid that if she has done the chores and when baby is sleeping, she can nap a little while in the afternoon. Once in a while I do see her napping, especially if the night before baby has been naughty. I installed a cctv at home (she is aware of the cctv).
Thanks for your suggestion.
I had maids in the past but that time i was not working. Then i am having a nanny all this while
But as my work is getting quite tough its difficult to manage housework. So need maid already....
Thanks for all your suggestion...
