I think if we cannot accept a particular maid, just call the maid agent and change it.
Personally not only the maid part, I believe we have a part to play too as an employer. For me, I always tell myself I should treat her as a person.
If today, I live in Philipines, and I have a daughter that need to go all the way to S'pore to work, how would I hope the employer will treat my daughter.
Though my maid not perfect, I insist her to eat together with my family on the dining table. Of course I make sure all the dishes has a spoon in order not to exchange saliva for hygiene sake. When go reataurant eat, though I am a little stingy, but I still make sure the maid eat the same thing I eat.
My stand is, dont't look at our maid as lower class, but look at her as a person who has feeling too.
Hi all, i'm sending maid in mid march and would like to warn about her in case she comes back to singapore and work.
