lpkee if you dont mind the travel can stay in discovery bay, park island or even carribean coast
I live in Park Island. But it also depends on how old your child is. From 0 to 2, it might be fine. Beyond that, you do need to send him or her out of the island for classes. But I like Park Island. Lots of play area, both indoor and outdoor. Not as busy or crazy as the rest of HK. Rentals are reasonable too
Thanks mummies! I will ask my hubby to check out the recommended areas. He is in Hong Kong the next few days to hunt for an apartment. By the way, is the transport in/out these areas convenient?
There're ferries from Park Island to Central and Tsuen want. And shuttle buses to Tsingyi MTR station, Kwai Fong MTR Station and Tsuen want MTR station. Taxis are allowed into Park Island after 8pm. But that will change from next year. I think taxis will be allowed in for about 20 hours a day. Can't remember the details. I like Park Island. We've been here for 5 years. Oh, you can't drive into PI too.

Is there any Singaporean family in HK with kids in kindergarten? Just want to have some bonding n share the experience in HK education.
Hello there, just wanna ask if eating out is safe in HK? I'll be vacationing there and I am a little worried about the food condition there as I read some bad food reviews and stuff like that.
It is safe to eat in HK. Hawker food is not popular in HK while most people go to restaurants or fast food shop. But the spicy food is not popular in HK while Cantonese food could be found everywhere.
thanks a lot for the info. oh no, heard S'pore intl school hard to get in...
also heard that a gp consultation cost a mummy $100plus recently for common flu!
if $200-300 like you shared is much lower phew...
glad to hear jab package is around $5k which is similar to what we are paying here depending on what's in e package and if it is by pediatrician.
Thanks for the info! appreciate it!
Thanks a lot noel mums. Would be nice to have some ready contacts to prep. For our trip once it is confirmed.
Will love to catch up with you ladies. I'm staying in TC with my 13mth old gal. Full time housewife so hope to meet up with sg mum to stay sane. Hahaha
BTW, anyone know where I can get threadfin or fresh cod fish here?
Anyone interested to meet up we can do a mini sg mum coffee session.
Hi mummies in Hongkong, I ever did go to Hongkong to do Post Natal massage for my client. If anybody need my service I willing to go there but you have to provide me the shelter n food. you can sms me at my hp91397178 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Joyousbaby, the threadfin in HK are the smaller ones, with the head and tails. Different from those in Singapore. You also could find the fresh cod fish in the wet market.
Which part of HK do you stay? Where is TC?
I stay in HK island.
I'm at Tung Chung near airport
Havent come into this thread for a long time! Im staying in fanling! want to do playdate one of these weekends???
