why need 2 sets of baby vest, booties & mittens & receiving blankets? Just bring one each will do... Cuz if natural birth, very fast discharged one... Unless yours is c-sect...

and for breast pads, bring adhesive better (Pigeon brand better)... Er... maternity pads, I know KKH will provide one... But I don't know about pte hospitals... think they will give also ba... then you don't have to pack so much things there ma...

JMHO, bring as little things as you can... so when discharge, don't have to carry many things back (if the hospital give freebis too)... :)

Not everyone come after 3 day, mine came on the 4th/5th day n if i am nt wrong natural birth tends to haf their milk come faster than c-section ones.

dun forget to wash n sterilise ur pump, set it nicely...in case ur bb dunno how to suckle (like mine), quickly ask hubb go back to take pump for u...so u can stimulate e milk to come in....

even if bb can suckle, u can pump when i get home...cos when e milk first comes in, ENGORGE!!! so must faster pump out to get relief!!!

No point bring pump on the 1st day. Tat time i aso bring but nurse told me sterilised more than 8hrs it nt "clean" already need to sterilse again n hospital wont do it for u. Mount Alvernia do provide rental of breast pump @ $25(cant rmb the price, aga aga rmb de) i tink for thru out ur hospital stay.

if u sterilise n keep in sterile container, can keep for 24hours :) even if not sterile, ask ur hubby to sterilise b4 bringin it out :) my hb brought e steriliser along to help me sterilise e pump....

btw, first few days u pump also no milk..heehee...it is onli to STIMULATE e nipples so tt ur brain will get e message to tell ur boobs to start producing milk!!! sometimes i wonder is it i over-stimulate cos my books r always v engorged n leaky!!

Mt A charge $25/use... :) TMC is $15/use with 1-time use sterile equipment....

but if u already bought ur pump, bring it along...cos if dunno how to use, can ask e nurses to teach u....tt was wot i did...n they teach me how to use it so tt it is effective in pumping milk out...my fren got alot of milk, but she did not use properly cos no one teach her...end up her engorged but cant pump out until she went back to hospital to ask lactation consultant to teach her how to use e pump....
