Thanks for the various reply for all mummy. I also heard abt compulsory swimming lesson for Pri 3..waiting for this...still trying to find out from the school. I did not know that singapore sport school conduct swimming..i know it is only during school holiday. Will check it out. Thanks.

I agreed with mummies here. Maths in Primary school is a test of English language command understanding and resolving it in a mathematical way with step by step to correct answers. At any step, it will be awarded point, it does not mean that student got correct answer, they will get full marks...

Hi, I've been trying to see whether shld my kids go for swimming lesson for him to swim properly instead of playing with water in the pool, anybody has recommendation in woodlands area and is it too late for him to start now? He is not afraid of water, but always run into cough and flu...

I do not let my kids watch all these shows, of course peer's influence and also they will feel inferior if their friends talk abt the shows. I will let them read those books instead. normally, my kids will choose to watch those educational shows instead of this. They are given 1 hr a day on TV.

My son is a dragon too. He is taking higher chinese in a school in Woodlands. He didn't attend any enrichment classes, but I'm struggling to coach him.

my boy has been wearing glasses since K2, starting with 100 degree, P1 - 250 degree and now P2 - 325 degree. Kind of worry for a young boy like him to have such high degree. Anyway, have reminded him to relax his eye every 30 mins. Not sure whether the OP in class has any bad effect on...

Hi, My son will feel so bored when I give him worksheets to do. End up, he started throwing tantrum and he will start to behave negatively like daydreaming and etc. Any mummies can share your successful story of managing this. Thanks. :shyxxx:

Mine did not asked for pocket money, as he bring his own snack + water from home. The school is 5 mins walk from home. But, I still give him $2 just in case of emergency since he is Pri 1, now he is in Pri 2 oredi. When he needs to buy items from the bookshop, he will ask from me if the item...

I will bring him away from the high chair to a corner to tell him what he is doing is not appropriate. It is best to remind them that instant rather than after. They have short memory. I will repeat this action till he can sit for a few more rounds if I have the time, if not, I will take...

this centre have a new concept call play as you learn...they will not be in a form of classroom activities...more on art and craft, play and sing songs. They do have some reading and spelling and etc.

hi...there is a myths...the more yr baby smile or laugh the more hair mummy will drop...i have this happens to me aso...it will go off gradually, maybe 3/4 year. There is nothing that you can do abt this, unless u want to stop baby from smiling...hehehe No worry...I still have thick hair...
