Hi FTWMs,
I'm a SAHM for 2 years already. Thinking of returning to workforce soon and thus looking for a job now.
Any mums with similar experience can share how is the job hunting like? Are employers really particular about the gap in non-employment? Do you list the gap in the CV? Some...
My 23 mth old son also the same! Sweats easily especially the head. If he doesn't sleep with air-con, his head will wet the pillow. But his nose quite sensitive, tend to get blocked nose easily. *sigh* So usually I let him wear full body suit to sleep, or if normal pyjamas wear socks.
My son now 21 mths. Sent him to half day cc when he was 17 mths (wrote in to MCYS) to get permission for early enrolment (instead of official 18). Reason being he was very sticky to me and I couldn't get any chores or cooking done at all.
Stayed at the cc for first 3 days. First day, he stuck...
I heard that it's no good to eat overnight porridge.
What you can do is to prepare the stock base and ingredients in bulk and freeze them using ice cube trays. Soup stock base and ingredients can cook and freeze and keep for long. Everyday just take out the required portion and throw into slow...
Probably you would like to consult another PD.
When my son was about 12-13 month old, similar thing happened before, vomitted once a day or once in 2 days for about a week. Yep, very scary like merlion. I thought it was due to sore throat (he wasn't well that time) or he was too full...
Hi!
I'm a west-side mummy too. Currently SAHM with a 20 month boy :) Looks like my son is the oldest among all here? Would like to meet up, but my son's nap time is 1 to 3pm daily so I guess timing a bit different. Anyway, stay in touch :)
My son also doesn't like milk very much, about 300ml a day. I try to give him other sources of calcium like yogurt, cheese, cereal with milk, tofu, salmon, peas, spinach etc.
You can probably start teaching your girl to drink from cup. I started my son from about 13-14 mth, and by 16 mth he can...
Re: Any mummies here use pigeon rapid steam sterilizer, if rusted at bottom still usa
Yes, mine also has this 'rust-like' build-up before. Coz I was lazy and didn't clean the steamer properly :p
Can be rubbed away using those Jap sponge too.
Hi,
Have tried all three. HT and HB very flaky, whereas EB look more like normal cereal. But not much difference actually. I stick to HT coz much easier to find than the other 2 brands. Can be found easily at NTUC and Cold Storage. The other 2 brands usually at organic stores.
Thanks Happymum for the recommendation :) I'm thinking of installing window grills since my toddler loves to climb! Looking around for contractor but not sure who to contact. Just called him, sounds very friendly and efficient.
Hi,
My son never sleep yaolan, only on bed since birth. Yes, one side of his head was a little flat when young, but subsequently ok already (can't remember since when became ok, he's now 18 mth). Maybe you can adjust his head while he's sleeping.
Whenever my son meets a more aggressive kid at the playground, I will distract him to go elsewhere, as far as possible I try to avoid a confrontational situation from arising. I think now (18mths), he's a little young to understand, will try to teach him about the correct way of handling...
I witnessed an incident at a playground today and was wondering what should I do if such incidents happen to my son next time?
A 4-5 year old girl (A) was hit by another similar age girl (B). Girl A cried loudly, while Girl B appeared nonchalent. The father of Girl A was there and shouted...
Hi, there was a period of time (about 13-14 mth) when my son also kept vomitting his food. Went to PD & she said his tummy may have bad bacteria so gave him probiotics. Situation improved after about a few weeks. Suggest you bring him to PD if problem persists for more than 5 days.
Keep it up marshmallows :001_302:
Soon, he may be even snatching the food you are eating. Kids are always curious about what others eat, esp their parents. They think that our food taste better than theirs! My son certainly thinks so and insists on eating ours, even though they may be the same...
My son is 18 months and sleeps with me. Since 8 months old, he rejected his cot so for ease of nursing, I got a super single bed and co-sleep with him. Our queen size bed is too small to accommodate the 3 of us. As he likes to turn and twist around in his sleep, I got a separate mattress to...
Babies and toddlers alike are messy eaters! Even though my son can self-feed quite well now, he's still very very messy! There'll be food on his face, hair, clothes and floor. I put a plastic floor mat below his highchair, just need to wipe/wash the mat. Usually have to take off his clothes...
Try to let him hold the spoon and play around with the food? Probably can generate some interest?
At some point during weaning, such things happen. There was a period when my son also kept rejecting food, but it got better. I know it's super frustrating, I flared up many times too!
