Any mummies have similar experiences with their babies not wanting to be fed with solids? My girl is turning 11mths soon and she still refuses to eat semi solids. Only once in a blue moon she willl eat which makes feeding her a big headache for us. Furthermore she has learnt how to spit food out...
Hi mummies,
It can be quite difficult to feed my going 9mths old baby girl as she sometimes would jus refuse to open her mouth for porridge or milk. Now her daily intake of semi solids is like at most 2-3tablespoons of porridge and abit of cereal with ard 800ml of breastmilk. She seems to be...
Hmm really hope tt baby will eventually not reject breast soon! The bonding is priceless. I'm hoping it's because she is teething that's why going on breast strike.
Hi mumy1901,
In e end I managed to build my milk bank. However this is because my girl started to sleep longer period at night and I'm able to pump and store.
Eventually when my girl started to be on bottle while I work, gradually the supply is more than what she drink. This could also be due...
Hi mummies,
Im kinda sad cos my girl suddenly started refusing to latch this week. Previously, I used to latch her after work till she fell asleep and before I went back to work, she had been on direct latch all along.
Was wondering if she would suddenly get nipple confusion at this age cos...
Hi Shirix, I would think that it is perfectly fine with the amt ur baby take. They will know how much to feed so no point is forcing them. Cos for me, my girl had been taking appro 125ml since 2mths till now and when we try to feed her more she will jus refuse and cry. As long ur baby is growing...
Hi lingz, my girl went up to two weeks without poo. And like urs, she was also not fussy or feeling uncomfortable jus passing really smelly gas haha. Eventually when she pooed it was quite explosive haha! But dun worry its perfectly normal in my opinion :)
Hi Shirix,
There were times where I also pump at 7hrs interval cos I couldn't wake up at night haha. Well I would agree with you that the foremilk will be lighter in colour at first and slowly changes to darker white colour. I would also think that it's better to mix the milk tgt in a single...
Hi mummies,
I need some advice on whether I am giving baby enough semi solids.
Currently I would give her ard 6-7 feeds on 125ml of milk, 2tablrspoon of cereal with bm and some fruits or snacks.
Wondering if that is sufficient for them as bm shld still be their main source of nutrients.
Thanks!
My girl is now 6mths plus and she started sleeping from 8-9pm to 6-7am waking up once for milk in e night since she was ard 2-3mths old.
Usually she is taking appro 100-130ml per feed 5-6x while I'm working. When I'm back home she would latch before she sleeps.
As for my pumping schedule, it is...
Hi mummy, dun be too worried of storing a lot of breastmilk for ur baby girl. Just try to store any excess you may have now while possible. For example if baby tend to wake up less at night, you shld be able to have 1 or 2 feed to store daily. And also do note that while you are back at work...
Hi mummies, thanks for ur replies. My girl is starting to get back her usual appetite. Probably is really the growth spurt since she is not teething yet. :))
Hi mummies,
My 6mo daughter suddenly reduce her milk intake over the past few days. All along she had been a small
drinker, her daily intake will approx 700ml. However these few days, her intake reduce to only abt 500ml. I'm quite worried as she was born quite petite in size. Have also not...
Hi mummies,
Can you share how to start bb on semi solid?
I intend to let my baby girl try out healthy times oatmeal cereal.
However, I would like to know whether I shld also start giving her some porridge at the same time or shld I wait till she is older and in e meantime just let her try...
