When to stop using mittens for infants?

Hi, seems like many people have problems on cutting baby's nails. I used to have 2 nannies who took care of my boy and they liked to cut his nail really short, very close into the flesh and make me so heart pain when I see it. Now his nails become very ugly. The right way to cut baby's nail...

    Paternity tests?

Hi, on the 1st day of conception you are considered 2 weeks pregnant. Means if you are 30 weeks pregnant, you should minus 2 weeks = 28 weeks and count 28 weeks back to determine the date of conception. Hope this will give you a rough guide.

    Guardian's folic acid recall?

Hi, the forum post is dated June 2011. It's Nov2011 now so I think everything should be resolved by now. Thinking back, I think I was taking the Guardian Folic acid during that time. I think there's nothing to worry about, just some RDI problems from what I read from the article.

Looking for foster family who is willing to take care of my son

Dear all, I'm going through a very tough time right now. I'm trying to be strong and kept telling myself that abortion is the best solution for me in order to get my divorce started. However, I feel sorry for the little one growing inside me, thinking that I had to end its life just like that...

Looking for foster family who is willing to take care of my son

Hi, it really hurts me to terminate this pregnancy at such a late stage but I really have no other alternative if I were to leave this marriage. I can't possibly get a job if I'm pregnant and I desperately need a job once I move out to support myself and my boy so I'm really sorry to say that I...

Looking for foster family who is willing to take care of my son

Yes, I intend to approach mcys if I couldn't find a foster family, but the problem is mcys has long processing time and I need it quite urgently. Looking for foster family who is willing to take care of my son

Hi, my family is out of the question as I do not have a supportive family. They will never agree to help me even if I asked. Childcare is also out of the question as I do not have a job and will not be eligible for the subsidized rate. I do not have any savings or finances to engage a nanny now...

Looking for foster family who is willing to take care of my son

Hi, I'm currently pregnant and planning to divorce my husband. I have a 2 yr old son and I am a stay home mum, not working, no income. Husband's job is on and off, he only gives me $$$ occasionally when he has jobs but will soon "borrow" it back from me without returning. Most of the time, we...

    need advice!! babysitter

Actually I think it all depends on individual. In my opinion, the market rate is 700 to 900 for overnight care. Last time I gave my nanny 700. Infant care charge higher rate because the nannies there are professionally trained and are considered certified baby caregiver plus there will be...

    Pregnancy Kit

Actually I think most pregnancy kits are accurate. I used to think that only expensive ones are the best but after experimenting with a few cheap ones, I find that they all gave the same positive result. I noticed that clearblue, which is the most expensive, gave very faint lines / results...

I want to get out from here..

Hi, don't worry, usually the judge will grant custody to the mother if you can prove you have a stable income enough to support the child with a clean record (e.g. extramarital affairs) It will be an added bonus if you have proof of your husband's infidelity, his negligence on taking care of...

Do you spank your kids to discipline them?

I agree! If I try to tolerate my toddler's nonsense, he will really have no limits. I have to take out the cane to tone him down but he always knows why I'm hitting him coz I will warn him or shout at him a few times first before using the cane. Children are like that, like to test parent's...

    need advice!! babysitter

If based on the market rate, it is reasonable but since the nanny gets time off on most weekdays day time, I think $850 is a lot since the nanny is free on most of the weekdays daytime when there is most work to be done. Try negotiating with her and see what she says or get another babysitter...

I want to get out from here..

Hi, if you want to leave your husband, you need very careful planning. The most important thing is to get your finances stable first. You'll need to get a job and save up up for future uses. Since you don't really bother what he does already, why not stay on at his place while you save up money...
