Hi! Nice to meet you here. I like Korean products a lot, I know a lot of them. Can you write a review? I am really interested in this brand. Not sure if you all have heard of this brand before. I think they recently launched in Singapore. Formulated and made in Korea all-natural, silk based skincare. The science behind it quite interesting.
I'm still a new member can't post links but here is the website, lasoie.sg
Hi there, nice to e-meet you. Apologies for the late reply.Hi! Nice to meet you here. I like Korean products a lot, I know a lot of them. Can you write a review? I am really interested in this brand.
Wow, thank you so much! I have a few Korean products but I am going to use yours too.Hi there, nice to e-meet you. Apologies for the late reply.
To start, I was on birth control pills for 10 years. Not because I needed birth control, but because I had moderate acne. At the time, I didn't question it because I thought that the pill was the solution. I didn't realise the lasting negative effects the pill can have, especially when you start young. I regret it completely.
As soon as I came off the pill, the acne came back even worse than before. It became cystic acne (Refer to attached image).
Fast forward 5 years, I have been using La Soie, specifically 1 of their products called Intensive Restore Solution (IRS), it has brought my acne under control. To be very honest, it took at least 1 year for my acne to be brought under control. But as the saying goes, nothing is instant especially when it comes to skin.
I have learnt in due course that the chemicals in most products are actually detrimental to your skin especially with prolonged use. I was introduced to La Soie by a friend and have never looked backed.
First, we need to understand silk. There are 2 main proteins in silk threads. Sericin and Fibroin. Fibroin the good for skin part of silk needs to be separated from the not so good sericin. Traditionally, brands that do contain silk, do this by boiling. When heat is introduced it actually destroys the properties of silk. Now, La Soie has found a unique way of separating Fibroin from sericin and at the same time restructuring silk itself to be even more effective thus increasing its efficacy.
Just a brief introduction to La Soie. It is a silk based all-natural skincare. The main ingredient in all their products contains their patented ingredient, Silk Crystal. Together, it is formulated with a combination of botanicals and other natural ingredients. You might be wondering, what about the shelf life? If the bottle is open, the shelf life is 6 months while if the bottle is unopened, it is 12 months. This is possible with a combination of natural preservatives.
Overall, I am very happy with the products and have since switched my routine skincare. A disclaimer though, the positive effects of all natural skincare usually takes a longer time but the positive effects stay effective for a longer period. Not forgetting that it is also free of chemicals.
I hope this review has helped you!
