:elvis: that's what the doc told us to leave it alone and monitor. if it doesn't swells up and get bigger suddenly then dont't have to do anything. it will or will not fades away and may take up to 5-10yrs.
we feel so sorry for our gal to have such rare thing growing on her eyes. :swoon:moreover, it's on her eyelid and seems like the other eye is starting to have the same thing. sigh.... bu mei .
Strawberry mark won't drop off one... it'll slowly fade and the swelling will subside. But according to my friend's paed, for her son's case, there will still be a darker patch on the forehead even if it fully subsides. My dotter has one underneath her knee. She's fortunate it's at a place that can be easily covered up. I've been telling her it's a strawberry mark and it's harmless but it seems she just realized, a few wks ago, that it's there. She keeps going eeeee dirrrty when she touches it. :err:
I wonder when hers will drop off...
how long it takes to fade off? :weyes:I was also very worried when I noticed my baby had 3 pinkish patches on her face - lip & 2 eyelids. Now only 1 is left. That one is more like capillaries (tiny veins). It's not very visible & can be covered by eyeshadow or concealer if it's still there when she grows up.
Then my hubby also thought 'bu mei'. if the bigger 'rough' eyelid patch doesn't go away, we may have to opt for plastic surgery. Thnk GOD, it's gone after a few month
I think it depends on size & texture. The patch above lip took longer to fade & appeared to be bigger or darker at times during 1st mth. It's the biggest, abt size of pinkie finger tip, and can be seen in some photos.how long it takes to fade off? :weyes:
glad to hear that it fades off after few months. does it swells or become a lump?? :we2unsure:i worried that it will swells then may have to go for injection.I think it depends on size & texture. By 3rd month, there were just traces left.
By 6th month, 2 patches were undetectable. 1 patch faded, leaving some tiny reddish veins on 1 eyelid.
