Ladies,

anyone recently did their IVF in KK or GH?

Can share with me the doctor, please?

I use to see Dr Jerry Chan but dont really like him, think he's not prof enuff...

Anyone can share with me doctors please?

i need goverment in order to get subsidised.

I did mine at SGH with Dr Yu Su Ling. She is nice and very professional. You can consider her if you are going for govt hospital. But she is quite busy so the wait to see her may be long.

she is the one who did your IVF? Did u conceive the 1 IVF?

Yes she is the one who did my IVF... fast & painless :) I didn't conceive during my 1st IVF but don't think it's bcos of her skills. I have some cyst within me that had an infection, which prob caused it.

painless is good. My fresh cycle Dr Jerry managed to find the spot and insert the embryo into me but alittle uncomfy, as for my frozen cycle, he have difficlties looking for the spot, we spend like 15min still cant find it as he told me mine was tight, so Dr SF Loh came to help and managed to insert within 10mins.. i was so hapi cos i wanted SF loh, but was told his schedules are really tight and he is leaving the KK soon so i cant change doctor but was so happi when he came in and did for me, But, again, fail :(

Think the skills of the doctor is v impt. Dr Yu is equivalent to Dr Loh so better to choose her if go for SGH.

Hi, I jus did my 2nd time IVF with Blastocycst Culture @KKH...Initially my doc is SF Loh but he moved to Thomson Medical end Dec after my 1st and last appt with him..lol..then they changed me to Dr Mathew Lau...He's not bad...quite a nice guy...my 1st IVF was a fail...maybe cos i fell not once but 3 times...=(....did my 2nd time trf on 29th Apr...holiday.....doc and nurse came back to help me....really nice..the nurse is Sara Chan..friendly too...and ytd i went for my blood test and was tested positive....then sara actually told me I'm 1 month pregnant! Which was funny...cos she said the embryos was already 2 weeks old before transfered into me...lol....
Anyway, I think rest is needed...alot of it....and also i think most of the 1st time didn't get to go thru...dun knw y.....

5 days transfer?

I had 1 fresh n frozen also fail... thanks... i hope i dun need to "Visit" Dr Lau from KK... thank for the recommmm....

btw, is he those ex doc or walk in doc? understand that if i wan to see certain doc i will not be consider as subsidies. Do u know..

I am really hapy for you :)

Thanks! Keeping my fingers cross now. my beta-hcg is 892.8 which was consider quite high and if it is really wat the nurse said I'm already 1 month pregnant then it could be twins..cos of the high number...Yah...frozen embryos....the grade is D4

i was suppose to do the transfer on 30th Apr but on 29th morn nurse called and ask me go do trf immediately...cos she said 1 of the embryo is growing quite fast and is ready for transfer....transfer 2...1 big and 1 small...haha....

Oh..I didn't know abt the certain doc thing...but I do knw if u request for a doc and the doc is higher level...it will be more ex....what u mean by ex doc or walk in doc? I was seeing my own gyne at clinic B then she recomm me to SF Loh..who i din knw its famous until my fren told me...but then he got to leave..so he recomm me to Mathew Lau....

Thanks! I'm keeping my fingers cross now.....praying hard everything will go thru smoothly...

Hi Kelin,

You have mentioned that Dr S F Loh left KKH to Thomson Medical. Did he open his own private clinic there or he is working under Thomson Hospital. Anyone has his latest contacts? Cos from the Forum, seems like he is a very good doctor.

Hihi, hmmm...yah...he left kk end dec last year for Thomson medical....not sure if he is working under Thomson mescal or wat....try checking out the Thomson medical webbie?

Hi Kelin,

I did my first IVF at KKH recently and it failed. I didnt even get to the embryo transplant as my only egg just did not fertilised. It was so disappointing and I was traumatised.

Doc suggest me to go for another round after rest.

Congrats to you on the sucess of your second time...hope I'll be as lucky as u too...

Hi twinkle, the difficulties of going thru everything is hard I knw...haiz...I jus miscarriage ytd so was super sad and I'm left with only 2 embryos which blastocyst culture needs at least 5. Hopefully doc let me do blastocyst culture with 2 embryos which I think this method is quite effective....now doing confinement without giving birth is even harder.....

Hi Melody,

I can share to you from personal experience Dr. Ann Tan in Mount Elizabeth. She was my doctor and has assisted me all throughout. http://www.anntan.com.sg/ivf.html they wrote the process there but basically if you have other ques. Dr. Tan is very accommodating plus the environment is relaxing. Now happy to share that we have our baby boy with us growing healthily.
