I'm being diagnosed with PCOS early this year after I missed my menses for 3 months. :(
This is very upset as me and my hubby been trying to get baby since last year may and I'm now having this PCOS. I do not have all the psychical symptoms except I missed my menses. My last two menses was induced by hormone pill given by gynae. I'm now given metformin 850mg to regulate my ovulation n menses. I have seen some mummy with pcos got pregnant with only metformin.. I wish I'm one of them too!!

Anyone with pcos here to share your experience?
I feel that support is very important and perhaps we have to be very patient too? I really wish I do not need to go through a tough path in order to conceive :( (pray hard)

Hi Cindy CS,

You and I are facing the same PCOS symptoms. No other symptoms except missed menses. I am diagnosed with PCOS at least 10 yrs ago and have passed 35 yrs old.

You dont have to be worry about it. I managed to get pregnant and gave birth to a healthy girl after 8 months of marriage and now she's 3, and I'm 5 weeks pregnant again. The most important thing is I wasn't with any medication, no metformin or clomid. About 2 years ago, i took a cycle of clomid but it didnt help. I wasn't very prepared to get pregnant then so did not carry on with the subsequent cycles.

There are always miracles, just relax and you will receive your surprise very soon.

Sprinkling baby dusts upon you! Good luck!:)

Thanks DarlingBaby for your encouragement :)
I hope I can be like you too! :):)

Btw, how did u treat your pcos when u were diagnosed 10 yrs ago? Did your gynae prescribe oral birth control pill for u to regulate ur menses?
I was very frustrated for the past half a year when my menses nvr happen at all. Are you still considered a pcos lady? Or you are recovered from pcos now?

Every now and then looking at my friends' babies, I'm praying hard that I could be pregnant now. Haha! Sounds very desperate huh! :p

I did tried metformin and birth control pills when I was 20 odd years old but then I just wanted to regulate my menses. No normal menses then but consistent spotting for weeks. It doesnt help on a long term basis therefore I stopped. After marriage I went to see TCM but I only took 3 doses of medication and stopped as the herbs were too heaty for me. About 3-4 mths later I was preggy.

Sad to say but yes, I am still diagnosed with PCOS after my 1st delivery. PCOS will not be cured.

Why dont you give TCM a try? Even my gynae says she trusts TCM too. You can try sourcing in other threads, some have recommended a few good TCMs, also depending which is your more convenient location.

Good luck!

Hmmm... I thought there are chances to recover from PCOS... anyway I just wish I can get pregnant soon!! Which mean now you are still no menses at all??? How's your menstrual cycle like now?

I have tried TCM xin chong (chinatown) to see prof feng since Feb... After 3 times consultation and chinese medicines, I gave up cos it seems doesn't help with my pcos at all.. or maybe I should try longer time??

Sorry, seldom login. Seeing TCM will not cure PCOS. But it definitely will help shorten your cycle and helps ovulation too. My cycle is about 65 days. Yes, tcm is not short term, gotta take a longer period for better results.

Hahaha, I was like you too, used many pregnancy kits. Somehow I stopped buying. Erm.. most of the time, we used protections, so I thought chances were low. So this time when I missed my menses for 2 weeks, my husband and even thought hard, did we not used any protection for once? My husband said just test. I replied him, everytime used protection why waste money to test. But since its already 2 weeks past 65 days, I went to buy one and it gave us a surprise.

Miracles do happen!

For me is the morning sickness. I saw 4 doctors before I'm diagnosed with pregnancy. Previous 3 doctors heard about my PCOS and just assumed I have gastric flu. Haaa. And I bought Diane 35 from one of the doc but lucky I no consume. When I discover I'm preggy, I'm abt 11 weeks alr. Jiayous!!

Hi mummy, i was also diagnosed with PCOS few years back but i managed to conceive last year. Try to lose weight, have a healthy balanced diet and exercise. mindful for your food. i hardly eat fast food and snacking. i also try to avoid food with high MSG like instant noodle, those kind of snack or finger food. i swim at least once a week. the most important is try to lose weight so the PCOS will be getting better. have enough sleep as well. dont stress yourself. The baby will come at you at the right time.
o ya, i also dont have any medication at all.

Hello Ladies... I'm new to this forum! Have been TTC for 6 months already and I was also diagnosed with PCOS this year and currently on my 2nd round of clomid 100mg... took Metformin for a few weeks and stopped as I kept on having tummy runs which was one of the side effects :(

Just started on my Vitamin D3, Calcium and Evening primrose oil supplements which doctor told me it helps on PCOS and regulate cycles...

Hope I'll get a BFP this time round on my clomid cycle #2~!!! Babydust to all!
