baby phlegm

Hi any mummies can advice on this matter?
My bb gal got a lot of phlegm that make her cough and she cant sleep properly, so poor thing. She have seen a Doc liao but just wonder any mummies encounter this and any advice on this? My bb gal is going to 5 months soon and she is fully BF. Thanks in advance...

Maybe you can go to Thomson medical and look for Dr Ang Ai Tin. I supposed she is quite good in curing coughing and phlegm. He cured my baby's cough. Infact, we noticed our baby cough even when he was just a new born. His condition is not cured until we go to her when he is abt 8mths old. She cleared all our doubt. Before that, we brought him to quite a few doctor but the cough and running nose keep coming back.

One of my niece also got alot of phelgm but she was cured by her method of treatment.

Her charges is high but she is good in diagnosing. I was charged $400+ for my first visit. Given some medicine and vitamin (10 items) for 2 week. His condition really improved so we go back for reviewed and was charged $200+. The third times which is 1 mth later, $100+. Now we onlyt go and buy the vitamin from her. And I got a happy boy.

are u into chinese med?
my gal used to have bad cough and phlegm for very long and even my PD's coughig syrup dun help...
so i went to the chinese medical hall and bought this med call "Jin Feng Shan" it helps for persistent cough and phlegm... got indication on how much to take depends on ur child's age...
my gal recover after taking about half a bot...

I kept a bottle at home even since in case she cough again...
Maybe u can try...

Elmo is a bit ex for me... I try not to spent so much unless no choice.

Wenz- Jin Feng Shan also for cough mah?

my doc will prescribe cough medicine for my boy....one is for cough and another is for phelgm (will dissolve the phelgm)

my boy always catch coughs once he eats sweets....so have to restrict his intake of sweet or sweet items...but one or two a week is fine la...

for phelgms...nothing much u can do though....but i find that once they coughed and threw up the milk etc....their cough and phelgm will be gone....but its not a good experience la....seeing yr baby throw up milk....but that 'works' for my boy....he oso got loads of phelgms....coz there are always some times when they have this uncontrollable cough tat makes they cough and cough until milk oso coughed out......

but some mummies claimed that their kid's phelgm problems are so serious that they went to the doctors to have them sucked out....but its very painful......

Jing Feng San has some mercury.....not good if taken too often.....why not try natural herbal homebrew drinks, like Luo Han Guo or Honey Dates Tea? I think Luo Han Guo cannot be given to young babies yet, perhaps Honey Dates Tea (Mi Zao Tang) ? My mum used to give some to my boy during tat age.....helps in phelgm and cough.

Hi cancan mum,
actually i want BB to vomit cos that is the only way to get the phlegm out but cannot leh... even aft drinking milk i try shake her also cannot. Got once she vomit milk and the phlegm came out that is very good but not now. Thats why asking ard see any ppl got any idea hot to make my bb vomit. HAhaha... medicine hall have Honey Dates Tea (Mi Zao Tang)?

haha..... then how... if she vomit will be better ma.
I also try to feed her more milk but she dont want leh....

Dont know should bring her to specialist to get the phlegm out anot.

but i heard sucking the phelgm out bb will cry like really kenna tortured ley....breaks mummys heart....coz painful - got blood and phelgm come out together......yours so serious meh? U tried to ask doc for the medicine to dissolve her phelgm? Tat medicine (green color) will oso cause bb to vomit.

Wah really! Scary man!! then dont want first. Ya she took the grn col but still got leh, the medicine finishing soon leh. The doc said gave morning and night but i gave 3 time per day also no use.

wonx lead to asthma but if the phelgm gets into the lungs will cause bronchitis i think....but if under medication should be fine.

my boy just recovered fr flu n cough. got lots of phelgm also but considered not alot if compared to his 1st time cough.

kkh doc gave him bromhexine. said the med might make bb vomit. so sometimes aft his milk, he'll vomit out milk + phelgm. v messy n disgusting but aft that, he really feel so much better. but b4 vomit, he feels really awful. c liao v heartpain.

Actually there is another medication which can help the baby to pass out the phelgm. And no need to vomit it out. When I see my bb gal vomit the phelgm out my heart pain..
