Hi Mummies...can u pls provide the checklist for baby items? I am a first time MTB. Hope to have everything prepared when baby is born :001_302:

Some of the items I have already thought of:

- baby cot
- rocker chair
- car seat
- pram
- milk bottles
- steriliser
- disposable and reusable diapers
- clothes
- bath tub
- shampoo & shower foam
- mittens and booties
- blanket
- pillow & bolster

  • cot bumper & bed sheets
  • clothes washing detergent
  • changing table
  • changing mat
  • diapers ranging from size NB-S
  • diaper rash cream
  • medicated oil for tummy
  • gripe water
  • breast pump
  • milk bottles
  • breastmilk containers
  • sterilizer
  • milk/food warmer
  • brushes/sponge to wash milk bottles
  • detergent for washing baby teats and bottles
  • baby shampoo/shower gel
  • powder
  • powder puff
  • wet wipes
  • mittens
  • socks
  • recieving blanket
  • swaddling blanket (got muslim cloth for this. cheaper)
  • tons of clothes!



Still looking for that good size bathtub.

Forgot to add in, loads of towels!
small washing towel(to bath n wipe baby with), drying towels, burping towel and hankechief for drools.

Kinda overbought on towels here.

If u delivery @ Mt A u dun need to bother to buy bathtub for ur bb coz after u discharge u get to bring hm a baby bathtub.

Not delivering there but at Gleneagles instead. Saw the teeny goodie bag they gave to my frd. Didnt see whats in it exactly, but at a glance, saw tons of phamplets and nuthin much useful.

Sounds very assuring. Thanks! I was shocked to see the amt of towels & hankies I hung up to dry. Wondered if I can get to use everyone one of them. Hehehe.:001_302:

When i saw the number of towels & handkerchiefs that my MIL bought, i nearly fainted. But really, it's not enuff still. HAHA

Delivering end Mar next year. Am wondering whether I should get a baby cot...or a playpen which baby can also sleep in until he is able to turn by himself?

A cot seems so bulky, and I prefer something that's more mobile. Anyone considered or let their baby sleep on a mattress on the floor in my room? Thought might actually be safer since he won't hurt himself even if he falls off the mattress. And then I can get an actual bed for him when he gets bigger.
