Chicken Skin

Any babies here have same problem with my boy?

He's got "chicken like skin" on patches of the body. Especially his 2 forearms, very big patch. His thighs and now even his chest also got 1 small patch.

Chicken Skin as in like ... U know Braised Duck or Chicken sold at coffeshops, the skin like got alot of small pimples spread evenly, but got no pus kind!

Help me! I've been applying the bedtime lotion for him after every bath, still like that! How How How?

Hi november, have you told your pd abt this? Is it itchy? Is your baby irritated by the bumps on his skin?

My boy used to have those bumps and it's red in colour. We brought him to pd and the bumps came up due to allergy and skin dryness (cos he always in air-con room). Now he have to moisturise him 3-4 times a day.

yup, perhaps u wanna bring him to the doc to see. cos we nvr experience it b4, may not give the right advice.
it might be due to allergy. (not just food, might be other things)

baber has it on his legs, a bit like Goosepimples rite? And a bit red red.

Doc says it may be a form of allergic reaction

try switching the bathing lotion.

Thanks all...

Ya, its like Goosepimples. And it doesn't seem to bother him. After apply lotion, it will be smooth but after the lotion "dry off" it'll come back again! That is why haven't visited doctor yet and I haven't bring my baby to any pd yet, have been having all immunisations at polyclinics.

At first use Johnson's baby - Blue color, then switched to Pigeon - 2in1, Now changed to Kodomo - Peach color. But its still there???!!!

I think it's eczema (allergic rash). You need to continue to moisturise the skin if not it'll come back. Same for my boy. Now I'm using Physiogel lotion, which doesn't have any perfume or any other additives. But it's quite ex... Abt $29 per bottle. I bought from Watsons.

Cancanmum, u interested in Physiogel & Gaia? when you come my house ask my maid show you.

The Physiogel is not sticky but the Gaia one is. But both are absorbed rather quickly into the skin, so doesn't make much diff :)

toby has it too! after consultation, doc said its the accumulation of fats (if that even sounds vaguely true) nothing to worry about. Toby has them on both legs & a little on the arms. At first, we thought he kena hand-foot-mouth ha ha :we2Randy-git:
