I do not think that a student should have a credit card whereby he/she may not be able to pay back the bank.
Instead, get a debit card as you can only spend whatever you put into the account. Never spend beyond your means.
For banks, I suggest UOB or OCBC instead of the usual like POSB as POSB/DBS atms some places only allows you to withdraw $50 instead of $10. And remember to put a spending limit so that you dont’t get carried away with your shiny new card. Hope this helps! :001_302:
