Can feedback such things to school? If not even wif spec, the degree will get worst, right?

how to feedback? ea class size is 40 kids n the teacher arranged the seating, didnt even rotate for other kids benefits/fair. Those at the corner suffer most ..... me for eg! :embarrassed:

how I wish they reduce class size so the kids can be more centralised but like that costs will be higher, need more teachers too. :elvis:

The san guang is the result of reflection ...... last time black board also no good ...... hmm projector? New invention? :nah:

My DD started wearing glasses in Dec last year when she was still in P1, just before turning 7! Sigh! Just hope her 200 degrees won't increase too soon and too much! Gotta teach her and remind her all the time to take care of her eyes!

My son already wear spectacles when he is at P1, I just feel that kids themselves need to be alert and observe the basics rules of eyes care especially to rest eyes after 30mins of near work, stay away a distance from TV and sufficient light and etc.

No choice. I have to save up more $ for him to change spectacles as I felt that the quality of the frame is not there as compared to our times.

Just wondering, any of you mummies with kids who have astigmatism, or early onset of myopia, wear glasses yourself? These 2 conditions, esp astig, is hereditary.

With early onset of myopia, you need to ensure the degree does not increase too quickly or the child may risk retinal detachment (tearing of the retina membrane). Bring your child for 6 monthly checks if you find the increase too fast or the jump in degree to big.

Wearing glasses isn't just an inconvenience. High myopia carries risks too, even in adults. I know coz I have high myopia myself.

Many special made spectacles are for kids.
The technology advances to a greater step.
Kids may like that.:001_302:

I think is best to let him wear it at all times.

Without the spec, he will strain his eyes and the condition might worsen.

For my boy, he wear spec since 4 years old after failing his development accessment at the polyclinic. He was referred to KK hospital.

The result is that he have pure astig and think should be in heritated although my astig is not very high and his dad does not wear spec (eyes to have some problem. Slight color blind)

The specialist said that it is best to let him wear at all times...... and now his degree went down by 50 per eye. He is going 7 this november

Agreed, it is good to that.
And the weight of glass is less nowadays.

Astig is caused by the irregular shape of cornea or eyeball. Not wearing the corrective glasses will result in headaches and poor visual input, which may lead to lapse in development.

Having the glasses on at all times is the only cure for kids at the moment.
