Eczema during pregnancy?

Hi,

I'm currently on my week 8. Since young, I had eczema problems. I'm worried it will pass on to my bb. Anyone has the same problem?

Talk abt Eczema, my bb has quite bad eczema. i dont have but her dad has. Eczema is a genectic thing. so just pray that bb takes aft dad. =)

To vane: Eczema is not genetic as doctors would have you believe. I suffered from eczema in my teens and was told that my girls took after me. Well, guess what? Their skin is totally clear now. Supplement with a good probiotic, and take digestive enzymes along with your meals and that might do the trick.

hi mummies, actually our washing detergent will affect our skin condition tooo.... you guys should use SA8 detergent, as it's very safe.... most or i can all detergent in the market contain fillers which will make our skin very sensitive...

Speaking of eczema. Just brought my older girl to the Skin Specialist today.

She started since Day 1. No one in our family.. to our best knowledge has eczema. However, both my daughters are having it.

It's incurable ..as told by the specialist.. can only minimise and control it.

She has been doing very well... no one even knows she has eczema. No tell-tale sign at all.

However, due to her frequent outdoor activities, which is not encouraged for people who suffer from eczema, her condition gotten real bad.

She has been given Cetaphil for bathing lotion. Told not to shower for too long.. and use luke warm or cold water. So not to agitate the skin.

Given Eucerin Skin Lotion for Sensitive Skin.

Given steriod cream plus day and night medication. Sigh.. poor girl.

Well, probably will fix her scars with Rose Hip oil when her skin improves.

It really worries and saddens me when I see her current skin condition.


I reckon best to consult the skin doctor. I have learnt the trick by now.. see a GP.. then get a referral letter and with that, you can get an appointment with the Skin Centre quite quickly. The best skin doctors are at our Tan Tock SENG SKin Centre. Trust me...after spending alot of money on my girls!!!
