Hi pinkk11, high 5!mine is.private gynae at clementi womens clinic. Gynae is Clifton Chan. He can deliver Mt A, TMC,Mt E, Gleneagles. Are you taking antenatal classes at Mt A? I have registered and first session is 6Dec, 6.30pm.

Need to pay deposit $1K for the Gynae charges during my next Dec visit. That's really fast! December will be a "broke" month - deposit, Xmas gifts, mummy bday! When come to jan, also need to get ready money for CNY. $$$$$

Guess I can skip all my CNY home decoration and goodies cos most likely is confinement at home! Only need to prepare my elder boy new clothes to go visiting with his daddy! Haha!

When do you plan to go on leave? My EDD on 12th, have told my boss I am taking leave from 4th onward (Abt 1 wk before). My elder one I took 2weeks before, and just nice he was born that week too, so didn't waste my early maternity leave! :)

Many says baby will be earlier on 2nd pregnancy so see how bah baby shall decide, im a dragon myself so was hoping to have a dragon baby too. But I oso mentioned to hubby i don wan half half dono will follow which character. I heard from someone tat this yr dragin yr is water dragon so easy to fall sick but dono how true oso.

Im planning to wrk till deliver, did tat during my #1, if i deliver early i will miss my bak gua :(

Usually Dragon a good year but tis yr water dragon a lot comment not so good, so I'm not sure too. I dunno dtls. N next year if not mistaken another water yr-water snake, so dunno good a not.

I can't read Chinese so can't surf much on tis. English web not much dtls on tis stuff. Old ppl will say 'big' animal is better.

N still considering is it good to do confinement during cny? My edd feb 26 but if I decided C section it will b during cny week. If natural not sure will b early or late? It's my #1 princess. I heard ppl say girl usually will b late? Wonder how true? Any exp mummies to share?

my mum advise me to give birth to dragon bb cos she say very "chor" to give birth during CNY period.. actually i dun understand what is "chor" maybe means not good.. somemore dragon zodiac compatible to my. but still need to depend on baby and gynae. I can only b induce cos gynae not keen in performing c-sec

Chantal, I will eat bak gua now.. cos i know my confinement sure kana CNY period... so many things canot eat.. *sob sob

Apr gal, i only know that prices of food will go up during CNY if we all do confinement during that time. and also if u getting confinement lady, ex too, $3-4k?? but ur baby will start to collect ang baos... :001_302:

Cheng, i may start to take on 4th too. 1st feb shld be taking own leave. I heard my col said i can request gynae to give me mc so that no need to waste maternity leave while waiting. is that true??

i didn't sign up for any antenatal class. not sure if its necessary. :/

went for my check up and 1st antenatal class ytd...baby now weighs about 1.1kg...

the antenatal class...actually i think it's more impactful for daddy...some information mummy may have checked out online but daddy either don't know or don't believe...so, i guess my hubby had quite an insightful lesson ytd... and the class teach daddy how to take care of mummy too.. :001_302:

Hi Starling, when is yr edd? Is true tat food prices will up during cny. But I'm more concern which date is better - dragon or snake. D CL which I engage will charge peak season price if on duty on the 1st 15 days of cny, no way to avoid unless I'm confirm my princess only come out then.

If I go for maternity checkup, I can request Gynae to give MC. Mostly I applied leave, so didn't use the MC. But you can do so too if its just 1-2 days.

I didn't book confinement nanny cos it cost $1k more. Tried calling agency, some fully booked,some can only come after 15th (who knows if my boy decides to come out earlier??) so in the end ask my mum to help me.

But for 1st mummy, I will still recommend confinement nanny.

I think I will stick to d hot water thing. I feel it's ok since it done d job. But of course sterilizer will b easier. I just dun like a lot if things lying around n dunno where to keep when it's no longer needed.

I prefer sterilizer cos now many come in multi functions, so can wrk as bottle warmer to warrm up frozen breast milk, can wrk as steamer for veggies and sterilizing bottle. plus using the traditional way will use lots of water.
