Hello everyone!
Just had my first Gynae appt on Tuesday (25 Nov) and couldn't contain the excitement. Though a lot of pple say pantang period, I have already told quite a handful of people. This includes my mom, parents-in-laws, grandparents and colleagues (out of necessity at work).

How's everyone feeling at the moment? Some days I puke like crazy and most days just feeling queasy.

Symptoms? Feeling super lethargic, queasy, backache, headache, gastric, nausea.. just terrible°°°° oh man...

Hi everyone. I had my first appointment last Tues 25 Nov. Baby is about 3.6 mm. Doctor say it's about 6 weeks. We could see the heart flickering bt cldnt hear the heart beat as doctor said it was too early. My EDD according to doctor is 24th July. This is my second pregnancy. My first one is a boy. Now 2 years plus. I didnt had any morning sickness with the first one. In fact i was pretty strong throughout. But this 2nd pregnancy is very different. I feel nauseous most of the time, headache, flg weak, gets hungry very fast, cannottake huge meals bt mainly smaller frequent meals a day, feels like vomitting but nothing come out.i get menstrual cramps kind of flg very often too. Doctor says its normal unless there is bleeding or spotting. It cld be the uterus is expanding. Sadly, my eczema also flares up pretty badly at this stage. Hoping that it will get better soon. Hope everyone is doing great so far. Take care.:Dancing_hmm::Dancing_hmm:

Hello all, this is my first pregnancy (not considering an abortion I did many yrs ago). I feel tired most of the time too other than vomiting. Got slight crampy feeling just like Caramellae which I suspected might be uterus stretching too. So didn't think much of it. I can't take big portions of food too. Esp at night before I sleep. Tried taking those packet Nasi Lemak mix all the rice with the chilli (my fav way of eating) & ended up breathless and feeling wanna die. Hahaha! So now hubby banned me from eating that totally. I realised that I wake up almost everyday at 7:30am w/o fail, feeling damn hungry like there is an alarm clock in me... Seems like my baby is an early riser. Can't even try to grab more sleep before he/she is born. Sigh...

Hello mummies-to-be. :) This is my 1st pregnancy and I am feeling excited yet nervous at the same time when I think about this journey I am going through. Just had my 2nd scan yesterday(28/11/14) and we could already see the flickering heartbeat on a shrimp-like figure. Hehe. The foetus is about 1.16cm and already in its 7th week. Was quite worried when I did my 1st scan 2 weeks ago because can barely see the sac at that moment. Anyway, it has been such a roller coaster ride of emotions and all-day nauseousness where I just wanna puke at any food in sight but couldn't puke any. Right now still deciding which hospital and obgyn to choose from, any good suggestion ladies? Currently going to Parkway Women and Fertility clinic which is rather pricey cos it's private but I had no other choice as I'm comfortable with the obgyn.

Have a nice day!

Hey Caramellae,

like you this is my second successful pregnancy. I already have a two plus year old toddler daughter.

I am feeling extremely nauseous for the past three weeks, into the 4th week of nausea now. Very sick of it. It's extremely debilitating, this nausea: I can't do much, can't run and do all the sports I used to do anymore :(

i also had had a strange case of eczema in week 4-6 of this pregnancy. I didn't know what caused it but it drove me up the wall as I couldn't sleep well with the intense itch. Now I wonder if it's cos of pregnancy or something else.

You ou take care. I think you may be carrying a girl because there is scientific evidence correlating higher nausea with carrying a girl! :)

i also have been having weird strange tummyache. Not sure if they are cramps. You'd think that this being my second successful pregnancy I should know better but this pregnancy seems more difficult! Sometimes especially this past week I've been having this strange tummyache pain the entire night I don't sleep well.

Just to share w everybody: I'm really glad there is this group. I don't dare tell many people about my pregnancy because I've had many ectopic pregnancies before this, and was hoping so much for a second kid, a sibling for my daughter. So far things are going well, and kiasu me had like, four ultrasound scans already ha ha! All are fine, and if you had a history of ectopic you'd understand the need for early scans to confirm the pregnancy is in the uterus. Which my obgyn did for me.

Like many any of you I have been extremely nauseous and tired. It's the nausea that really gets me. How do you all cope? Just moan and groan like I do?? Cos I am
utterly miserable. Been eating junk food or whatever that helps me nausea. Bleargh. I hope the nausea will die down soon as I am entering week 9.

So so glad to be able to complain about my nausea. Can't seem to do it to anybody else.

Due date roughly 4 July.
Good luck all! My next scan will be on the 15 December and if all goes well then I'll be much more hopeful about this pregnancy. Though my obgyn was very happy and grinning ear to ear that I am so nauseous. Jeez. (Nausea is a good sign of high levels of pregnancy hormones)

Hi everyone~

My 1st post in this forum. I just got to know (from the test kit) last Friday that I may be pregnant. Immediately went to consult a GP and she said the brand of test kit which I bought is super accurate, so she suggest that no point she does another test for me, cos it's using the same test kit. She advised me to ask around for recommendations and see a gynae around end dec (where I would be in my 10th week).

I've just made an appt on 27 Dec, for my 1st appt with a gynae. Would like to check, would that be too late for the 1st appt? Cos I heard that if too early (before 8 or 10 weeks), won't be able to see anything from the scan?

Thanks in advance to all for your advice!

Hey kodomo,

an early scan at about 8 weeks will at least ensure there is a viable pregnancy. That is, the baby is in your uterus and not somewhere else. Also at 8 weeks you definitely can already hear baby's heartbeat which is also a sign that things are going well. I feel that seeing a gyn only on 27 December is super late!!!!!! Oh gosh. I'd advice you to go for a scan asap to at least be assured that everything is ok. Thereafter usually scans are offered once a month.

All the best

My edd is the next day after my bday!! 13 July. It seems many of us havin 2nd pregnancy. My elder just turned 4yo in Nov. Like Reiann, I am also very worried as I too have a history of miscarriages. This miracle baby really came unexpected!!

My #1 was delivered via csec (40weeks) as I wasn't dilated, no contraction, hardly felt any movement although doc advise can wait 2more weeks back than. But I was worried and scared of stillbirth as it happened with my fren's wife. This time wanted to try Vbac but doc advise NO. Damme sad.

have you decided on which test to go for the down syndrome? Anyone staying in the north east?

Hey everyone! I just went for my first check up and my first ultrascan at KKH last friday and i've already seen my baby's heartbeat! it was a beautiful sight for me and hub cos this is our first baby! Just need a little advice from you guys... I chose KKH initially cos KKH specialised in delivery babies. However, i'm currently contemplating on changing to NUH since it's nearer for us. Should I? Anyways... i'm so looking forward to know the gender of my baby! Are there any signs for me to guess the gender?

On another note, ENJOY YOUR PREGNANCY EVERYONE! :eek:13:
