Hi Susannanation, yes it is contraction. My menstrual cramp has been ongoing for the past 2 weeks before I went to consult my gynae. My gynae actually said that there is a possibility that I might be going into pre-term labour, therefore prescribed me with a medication to relax my uterus and reduce the contraction. After taking the medication, my menstrual cramp has been reduced slightly.

Hi Jkel so your doctor said that its contractions? Is it normal?

hi mummies here,

i would appreciate if someone can add me on the fb group too - et.leen@gmail.com

after reading some posts, i realise i oso have some lower abdominal pains for past few days and seems like it's wat you girls are talking about - contractions.
until now, i am already 35w6d pregnant and going to see my gynae again at 37weeks.. after thereafter, i will see him once a week?

so im thinking is there a need to tell him abt the pain when i visit him at 37 weeks? also, how do you girls tell whether you have dilated or only gynae can tell?

Hi bersionr, don't worry too much. I hv fren who had incompetent cervix too. So far given birth safely to 2 bb boys.

hi mummies,
Been silently reading all your posts and congratulate those mummies
who have given birth le!
just wana share with u gals my preggie process to date -
i am in my 36 weeks now and next monday i will be removing my cerclarge stitch at 37 week.
Pretty nervous cos since my 21st week i have this cervix stitch done up and it has served me reli well with bedrest to date. i hv since
den been catagorise as a high risk patient in kkh due to high possibility of pre-term labour. So come Monday, my gynae will remove the stitch and see if i will start dilating. Cos with incompetent cervix like mine, i may deliver thereafter anytime. I am a FTM, so i start being worried and trying to be prepared, although so far i hv no labour symptoms yet except increasing pelvic pressures. Hopefully the stitch removal wun b painful too. :0T Most imptly, i hope my boy n i will b safe and healthy since we both come so far and long together to this stage where initially seem not hopeful.

Hello all mummies! Haven been logging in for sometime as busy travelling for biz trips (yes i know i shouldnt travel on plane once hit third tri but no choice) and tying up loose ends @ work before I start my ML on 1 March 2013. I've scheduled for C section on 13 March 2013 at TMC. I can't wait to deliver my baby prince ASAP as he is so heavy in my womb! Def bigger size than my elder gal! Good thing is to date i only gained about 8kg which is lesser than what i had gained in my first pregnancy (10kg)! Thats cos my BMI is high to start with so I have to control my weight somehow thou doc never said anything about watching my weight. So congrats to all mummies in advance and enjoy the ML you have with ur baby!

Hi Ryca
U very slim before u get pregnant. Your gynae never say anything about your weight?
For me, just opposite your situation. I ate little during first trimester but I eat a lot in second trimester n last trimester now.

Hi Purplelicious I think we should just inform our gynae so they can examine us. I will be 36 weeks tomorrow and going for my check up! Will update on what time doctor says. :)

congrats very berry

Congrats n kudos to another mummy who has given birth!

Your labour hours is indeed very short!

If I nv read wrongly, this is your 2nd bb?

What is your labour hours for your first one?

My doc gives me option to induce as well. But is actually quite painful as I'm induced for my first son.

So I'm now considering whether to induce again for 2nd time.

I also do have some brownish green discharge 2 weeks ago n on n off till now.
But my doc nv say anything much.

Gg to week 36 next Monday.!

Sorry I realize my title is not shown in the post.

I wanted to say congrats to very berry.

I would like to add on that I have gained around 20 kg for my first pregnancy . I lose about 10kg after I delivered. But my stubborn weight gain stayed with me for 1year n to only lose further 7-8 kg after I hit gym for another year before I get pregnant again.
According to my observation, from my bunch of colleagues who were pregnant around the same time. Those who are skinny before pregnancy remains very slim after given birth I guess this also depends on your genes.

Now I have gained 15 kg at week 35 .

I think I will hit 20kg again this time ! Argh

Hi mummies, wonder how it's like to induce when due date arrived wif no symptom? Not even a bit dilated per gynae checking. When admit at midnight nurse will insert pill for dilation? There will b mild pain throughout d nite n hopefully wif some dilation d next morning? If not will burst d water bag for further dilation/contraction? Then d pain will kick in n we will decide if painkiller is required? After burst d water bag usually takes how long to fully dilate? And we will only be pushed to labour room only once we r fully dilate? Wat is d ace pushing time?

btw wats d angpow rates for CL? Thanks.
