I wif thalaessmia bt nt my hubby. Gynae gave me iron & folic again. But can't take iron on daily basis only alternate days.

Baby weighs abt 900+ close to 1kg which gynae says a bit bigger than normal for my stage. I'm nw on wk 26+ only....

Oophs, it's a typo error. I meant haemogloblin level nt husband level. Iron n calcium supplement cannot be taken together because they "clash" wif each other n will reduce their effectiveness..

Mummyjan, den Wat is e normal weight range for bb at 26+ wk gestation?

Hello all mummies,

I am new here, just wanna say hi :)

My Edd is 14 Nov 2011
Delivering at Kandang Kerbau Hospital
Gynae used to be Dr Irene Chua but I am changing to Dr Wee HY starting this month as Dr Irene Chua will be leaving Kandang Kerbau Hospital mid of this month. Just wondering if anyone is seeing him as I heard he is quite popular and waiting time is long...

This is my first pregnancy :001_302: and I am quite an "old" mum haha. (I am 36 this year)

Hello escago

Welcome to the club! I will b delivering in kkh as well n dr Irene Chua is my preferred obsterician. I Ve nt decided if I'm Gg to stick wif her or switch to another dr. Ve u consider to stick to dr Chua? I heard she do delivery in Mah as well.. I do not knw much abt dr lee but if dr Chua is not keen to do delivery for me in Mah, I go see dr Anthony siow in kkh. He is my gf obstetrician n he Shld b Gd as my gf is a nurse. In my opinion, medicAl staff tend to b more particular of the dr Dey choose to consult..

Btw, I'm also a first timer n old mum like u, 32 Yr old... Hehe

orh.... my haemogloblin level is 10 only.

If i'm not wrong, baby's normal weight at 26+ wk gestation is abt 700+ to 800+ gms.

Gynae afraid that i might have genetic diabetes from my grandparents coz of baby's weight increment.

Hope tt my next visit test everything's are normal....

Mummyjan,

According to an antenatal book( Taiwanese), at 26 wk gestation a bb weighs ard 1000gm. Guess Yr dr jus want to play safe on Yr antenatal care. Everything will b ok. Keep us update!
