How do you tell if your baby is ready for a teat with a larger hole?

As above.

I'm currently using Pigeon's Peristaltic Teat (S size). Baby is 2 months plus and am thinking of using M size but am not sure whether she is ready.

Any way to tell? Or do I just have to try it out on her?

i change to larger teat when i noticed my boy needed alot of effort sucking. then sometimes he get frustrated drinking milk. so tried larger teat. sometimes he not ready yet, then he'll choke, so we change back to smaller teat but use needle to poke a few more holes :p

Stonston, use needle to poke a few more holes, then do we need to sterilise the needle first?
