How to know if baby is allergic towards certain types of food?

I've started feeding my girl purees and cereals for 2 weeks plus now & following the 4 day rule.
Question is how do i detect if she is allergy to something? Should i watch for rash, constant scratching, or she's out of her norm?

Are there any clear indications and if i follow the 4 day rule, by when should i be able to see if she's allergic?

Just to add if it is useful.

my bb just gets constipate on some food she can't take well. in this way, i know i hv to stop it.

my PD said - dun try new food when they just recover from any illness like flu. their tummy is too weak to be 'tested'. u should try new food a week after he/she recovers...
