Hi mummies,

I need advice on how to remove or clear baby's mucous?

I can see there are yellow mucous inside my baby's nose and I am worry that my baby couldn't breathe properly.

Should I get doctor's help or I can do it myself?

Please help ... :bunsure:

How old is your baby?
I usually use a baby cotton stick (round tip type) to remove mucus in her nose when we shower her.

If the mucus is near to her nose and is those string type or slightly hardened type (if you know what I mean), you can easily remove it by using the tips of your nails.

My girl is 19 months old, all I have to do is say 'blow your nose' and cover her nose with a piece of tissue and that does the job.

Hi Pixie, my gal is only 6 wk old. Anyway, i managed to use wet cotton buds to clear it little bit by little bit.

Thanks for your advice.

cotton buds is the good option and also will no make any harm with the baby.
Initially i was thinking to buy baby cotton buds. When i tried to use normal cotton buds, i managed to clean her nose. :)
