Infant Language Development Study at the NUS

The National University of Singapore (NUS) Infant and Child Language Centre is currently conducting a research on infants’ word learning development.

Suitable candidates include:
· Infants who are turning 13-14 months OR 17-18 months between June – September 2014
· Infants who are exposed to mainly English and Mandarin

The experiment is SIMPLE!
The experiment will be conducted either in the lab at NUS or at the child’s home. It takes approximately 15 minutes for each child to complete our task (video-watching), and he or she will be awarded a certificate of participation. On top of this, we will do an assessment of the child’s vocabulary size at no cost if the parents are interested to find out more about their child’s language ability.

Participants’ information will be kept confidential* and used solely for the purpose of this research. All of our research protocols are approved by the NUS Institutional Review Board.

Duration of the session: 20 to 30 minutes
