ingrown toenail

mommies, has any of your baby had ingrown toenail?? my boy big toenail seems infected and i can see abit of puss. i brought him to my GP already but he said he's too young to have any antibiotic cream so he advise me to just clean in with boiled water daily. it's been 3 days since we visited the GP but the area is still red and swollen, not getting worse but not better either..
any advise??

My boy also had an ingrown nail (affecting his thumb) when he was around 2 months old ... it was red & swollen tho had no pus. His paed prescribed Mupirocin (antibiotic cream) which cleared it within a couple of days. I applied it to the affected area after cleaning it & put a mitten on his hand to prevent the cream from coming into contact with his face.
