is it ok to take manuka honey?

hello! I have just started having cough and was wondering if it's ok to take manuka honey in warm water during pregnancy? I am about 6 weeks into my first trimester. I have read that honey is ok to drink as long as it's pasteurized, but I am not sure if manuka honey is pasteurized. Anybody knows?

Thanks for your reply. I have been taking about one cup a day only. But my cough is still there. Most nights I cannot sleep properly, I wake up and cough and can only fall asleep by 2 or 3 am. Now my colleague has recommended that I take this African Coconut brand cough mixture . I couldn't ask in the shop whether this is safe for pregnant woman cos he was there with me and he doesn't know I'm pregnant. So I bought it anyway. Anybody knows whether it's safe?
