Based on what I asked gynae before, it is based on ATTEMPTS. Success or not does not matter. As long as you go through the whole process, the cost is the same.

justforgags, has ur hubby gone to see e male specialist yet? Do go for it so tat both of u can hv a better idea to plan the nx stage. Dun be dishearted ok. My hubby has taken 3 mths of immuvital pills, tcm, acupuncture, etc...& the result is an improvement of more than 100%. I am so happy to see the result of e recent SA. The % of motile sperms became above normal. The amount is still less than 40m thou, but it is still an improvement & I m glad tat we did not give up hope.

:wong29:

Thx for sharing your IVF journey babylemon:001_302:

My dear husband and i plan for IVF in 3 yrs time if thr is still no "natural take its course" cz doc has inform us that my dear husband has got azoospermia and thr is no way that i cn get pregnant unless goin thru IVF. But im wondering what are the success rate for zero sperm count? will it be a waste of time? or jz close 1 eye and gv it a try evntho' its not cheap and hope for miracle to happen.. These are the things that are running in our mind:err:

Re: The Journey...IVF

My hubby is low sperm count and the % of motile sperms is low, i.e most of the sperms are not active. After seeing the male specialist, my hubby most likely confirm no blockage. Actually if blockage, need to do surgery, also sound scary leh. But now is that he needs to take all kinds of medicine to boast his down there. He has been rather active in bed too till I bua tahan also... Keke!!! :we2Randy-git:

Re: The Journey...IVF

Does any of the ladies check out if they have thyroid problem? Having thyroid problem may cause infertility for ladies, as in my wife's case. She is preg now, 2 months after we took medication for her thyroid problem.
For low sperm count, i will propose the following:
- take co ezeme Q10
- multi vits or vit c / E
- wear boxer shorts
- wear min at home after work, open leg big big when sitting down to cool down area
- no jeans, only wear pants
The above helps in my case. No statistics, cos i never retest.

Re: The Journey...IVF

Currently in the 2nd stage already. Started taking the Gonal F injection daily. So far no pain or anything. Suppose to also take a pill daily after lunch. But the first time I took it, had a swollen eye for one day and nurse said that I was alergic so I stopped.

Although hubby's SA result improved, dr cheng said it doesnt matter aldy since doing IVF. Mmm, anyway, trying v hard not to over pressurize myself and keeping fingers crossed! :wong29:
