regina,

yeah, like what ting suggested, change diaper before milk feed. if really must change after feeds, you can actually try changing baby upright. but you need two persons: one person to hold him up, the other to clean bum bum and change diaper.

very challenging!

as for the zantac, it doesn't prevent the vomitting, but reduces the acid in the stomach so that when baby vomits, it won't be so painful for baby.
ya so everytime i'll hold him, my mum change.. or will let him sit upright then change, must be gentle also.. now i got phobia when changing or feeding him.. whenever i hear anything, i'll jump up from my bed and see if he vomit again..:embarrassed: my parents wasn't very underestand abt this, they feel that i'm torturing him \when i insist putting him upright for at least 30min aft feeding.. they feel that since his vomiting has improve, den can dun 'torture' him anymore while i feel that it's better to be safe than sry..

eh, you can tell them that they are actually torturing your boi boi if they don't hold him upright! cos it's really painful to have the milk and acid flow back to your throat.

my dd can really scream in pain if we put her on her back after a feed!

last time we dont know, we tot dear son was just wanting us to carry him that's why he cried whenever we place him on his cot... now we know, hubby and me will keep him upright... but to my parents, vomiting milk is perfectly alright! and they feel that i'm making a fuss over a 'small' thing when i call up the clinic immediately when dear son vomited that day :embarrassed:

if your boi boi is vomitting clear liquid that is green or yellowish in colour, or if got blood in the vomit, then you should go see doc immediately. must also go see doc if bb chokes on vomit and turns blue in the face.

bbs can only cry when they need our help, and we are no docs so it's only natural that we ask the docs what.

yeah i agree, baby only cries when they r uncomfy or insecure.
if they r happy n contented, they wont cry or make noise.
as mummies, it is natural that we will over worry, n want whats best for our child, even if it is troublesome for us.
even if the grandparents love n dote them, they still cant understand how we feel, cos ultimately, we r the ones who bore them!

to the older generations, they also bring up their children until so big and old without wrying so much... so when they see me going online to check certain symptoms on certain things, or call up pd's clinic to ask if this or that is normal, they will feel that I'm too over... my mum often tell me last time we also nv see pd only those normal GP but we still survive well... but from what i know, a GP who i often goes to, told me that they are not specialise in babies so sometimes actually some symptoms is very normal, GP will prescribe medi while pd will ask us to leave it and the symptoms will just goes off..
