The transition from Primary to Secondary math education is especially daunting for many students. From simple arithmetic operations, students will now be exposed to algebraic manipulations and statistical analysis which have proved to be complex for many students. The holiday before students enrol in Secondary School is thus especially crucial for students to gain exposure to the various concepts and familiarise themselves in the Secondary math syllabus.
In this 4-days Pre-Secondary Math Intensive Course, students will be taught the essence of Numbers and algebra, Geometry and Measurement, Statistics and Probability. The three main sections constitute the backbone of the Ministry of Education’s Secondary One Math Syllabus.

Fees: $290 nett (Includes Notes & Refreshments)
Duration: 1pm – 3pm

Location: MTC Woodlands Branch, Blk 111 Woodlands Street 13 #01-86 S730111 (second level)
The course will be conducted by tutors who have recently graduated from Raffles Junior College and National Junior College. Both tutors have done exceedingly well in their O level, with 9 distinctions, and have consistently excelled in their Junior College Academic pursuit. The two lively tutors are fervent in conveying concise and elaborate methods to solve math and emphasise on understanding concepts as the means to master mathematical concepts.
Both tutors have at least 3 years of experience in teaching students of various calibres, with many of their students achieving at least a 3 grades jump in their academic studies.
In its second year running, the Pre-Secondary Math Intensive Course has proven to be effective in exposing primary school graduates to the unfamiliar algebraic environment and have helped students tremendously in keeping ahead of their peers in achieving outstanding grades in school. Comprehensive notes prepared by the tutors will also be provided to empower students with necessary information or skills personally employed by tutors to solve math questions quickly with style.
