Hi,

Any mummy has recommendation for tutors for O level private candidate please? My cousin just got sent here from Vietnam by my aunt, she was studying for IGCSE in international school. She's born in 1995 so it's too late to enroll her for government school now (overage for sec 3, gahmen doesn't allow student to go straight to sec 4) and she is now studying at YMCA. She'll be taking O level next year, 5 subjects: English, E Math, Science Chem, Science Bio and Social Studies. Her Chemistry is really bad: she doesn't understand half of the O level last year papers. Her English grammar is kind of terrible too... Any mummies have experience with home-schooling your children before? YMCA is not doing a good job at teaching her... They throw her into this class where most of the students can't even speak much English Thank you very much for reading and for your recommendations

Thank you all for your replies. I have found a tutor for her Math, Sciences and English (Thanks Matthew! She likes you and so far has never complained that your teaching has any problem at all ). She chose to take POA instead of Social Studies, and is now blur like sotong because she can't understand her POA teacher at all. I am looking for an experienced POA tutor for her, she'll be taking her papers this October. I'm looking for a native English speaker (my cousin prefers this, she says she doesn't want her tutor to start speaking Vietnamese half-way through the lesson lol). To some people, Art is still only a subject that needs to produce “aesthetics”, which is true to a certain extent. Now in this society, Art is a subject and also a form of therapy that really does help one to see and think differently, which is very needed to fuel our creativity. The Art syllabus we used to go through is very different from what we have now in schools. If you have seen my blog, I can do well in technical skills, draw realistically. I’m also good in helping students 'see' what they cannot 'see', building strong foundations, which is what they need to score.
