i'm basically in awe by how most mils automatically assumes that things are ok. while we are supposed to check with them for many things. i find that this is generally a mutual respect issue. i respect u, so i consult u before any misunderstandings happen. similarly, mils being experienced as they are, doesnt mean everything they've experienced makes them wisest of us all.

i think it all depends on how close you are with your MIL. For me, i think that its ok bcos usually people at their age like to check how much the other party actually gave so that they can either give back the same amt or more.

Its just like if your own mum open the AP
