Do your babies have moles?

My ds2 was born 'blemish-free', but now at 8mths, he seems to be having more and more 'moles. He has one on his arm, 2 on this right leg and one on his left leg.
They are not those type which is tiny dots that is very dark brown. His moles are bigger patch (about 1-2mm diameter) and is light to medium brown.

Is it the food? Is it the sun?
Any advice to minimise further moles?

My girl was born with rashes on her face whick clear off the next day..

On the 7th day, our CL screamed!!! A red "strawberry" mark appear below her right ear.. Ask the doc when go bb checkup, they all say no worry, quite common.. Well, to us is no common as din see such mark before lei..

When she was 6mo, sick the 1st time, high fever.. To our horror, area ard the mark swell to half a fish ball size and greenish in color!!!! And temperature of 2 ears differ by 1 degree plus.. Rush to GP.. He explained such is a vascular (blood vessel) birthmark.. Like the blood vessels all entangle, when the bb is feverish, crying or active, blood flow increases, thus causing the swell and the mark will feel hot!! Many passby will stare.. Some concerned ones will tell us: hey ur dd is bleeding/having a bad bruise..

Refer to the NSC then NUH.. Such birthmark is Haemangiona.. Went for MRI - magnetic resonance Imaging.. Thank GOD, the limp is not afftecting any tissue, bone on anything.. It's a lump by itself.. Annual check.. Now she is coming 3.. The bluish surrounding area has subsided and the reddish lump has lighten.. The professor-in-charge is quite confident that, the color will go and just some wrinkling of the skin will remain.. Another MRI is required to confirm that it does not grow and take root within..

ouhhhhh, tt's pretty scary huh...
Oh YES, Ting...

As she is young and can't keep still and MRI requires keeping still thus beed GA to help her sleep.. The nurses brought her to the room and ask me wait outside while they wrapped her in a blamket and insert a plug into her tiny hand.. I heard her scream and I sob outside..

Waiting for her to wake up from the GA is tormenting too as there are risks of coma etc.. Aiyoyo really frightening then as me alone with her while hb at home watching the elder boy ma..

But very thankful that it's fading away..

Btw, nv blame ourselves like old folks does when our bb have moles.. Have been encouraged by docs, nurses and passer by, esp those in hospital who have similar conditions.. They really understand and are sure that nothing to do with the mommies.. When it happens, it just happen..

Is there any ways to get rid of moles at this young age. My elder son has a little mole by the side of his mouth and it looks real ugly. I'm contemplating to bring him to see a specialist to get rid of it.
