i heard they're comparable in terms of service. The only thing is it's difficult to find parking at TMC.
I'm also considering whether to deliver at TMC or Mt A.

TMC quoted me $2343+GST for C-section, 4 bedder
Mt A quoted me $2243+GST for C-section, 4 bedder
So, i think they're also quite comparable price-wise.

i think both are about the same. i delivered at TMC at 2009 june and i find their confinement foods very delicious!! mine was scheduled c-sect and total bill was ard 6.4k, paid ard 2.4k cash, the rest medisave.. for latest bill size, you can go to their website and ask ur gynae. but i think the bill for both hospital is ard the same, maybe +/- abit only..

yes, tmc parking lots is very limited but during office hours they have free valet services and usually after office hours, it is very easy to find parking lots so i dont see any problem with the parking. in fact, with free valet service, you dont have to wry about finding the lots, just leave it to them.

Mt A seems to be more quiet but I must agree that their service is very good. I didnt deliver there b4 but i always go there cos my son's pd is there and the service counter staff are all very helpful and frenly. they will help me with stroller whenever i took a cab there with my son so i dont nd to wry that i nd to hold onto my son and open the stroller at the same time. =)

But TMC normally will have free upgrade to 2 bedded right?

Mt A. I was undecided when pregnant as to which hospital (MtA or TMC) but when a close friend shared that at the TMC delivery ward, the nurse attending to her baby was really rough. Grabbing the baby on one limb to put her on the weighing scale, etc. When her husband highlighted his unhappiness over her roughness, the nurse brushed it off saying that this is how they handle babies all the time.

I made my choice immediately and was really glad about it. The nurses at Mt A are very prompt in their service. When I press the bell, they will respond through the intercom to see what I need and will come in within 5-10mins. They are friendly and the environment is clean. The lactation specialist is really helpful. Upon request, they will come more than once each day.

When I went back to the hospital cos my baby had 2 nites stay at the hospital for jaundice, the nurses still remembered my baby's name.
Now planning for my 2nd child, will definitely choose Mt A.:tlaugh:

I delivered my 1st child at Mount A in Yr2010. Will be opting to deliver there again for my 2nd child at the end of this year. :tlaugh:

Reason for opting for Mount A vs Thomson Medical Center :-
1) Been to the ward tour of both hospitals. Thomson Medical Center gives the impression of being commercialised. Was only shown the rooms for the one bedded, suite and deluxe suite. For the 2 bedded and 4 bedded, i was only shown pictures of how the room looks like.
Mount A had a more homely and cozy feeling, and the nurses or sisters are more caring.
2)Traffic to Thomson Medical Center from my place is quite bad. Worried will be stuck in peak hour
3) Very limited parking lots.

However, do note that there is some renovation works being done to the facade of Mount A now that is scheduled to be completed only in early Yr 2012( if not wrong)
