pray hard for baby heartbeat /healthy

hi ... finaly im pregnant 4 week .. but im really really worry i had a experienced few yrs ago which baby hv no heartbeat..
1/9/10 went to dr chow at lucky plaza to do scaning , saw a very saw dot , n dr comfirm im pregnant im very happy but dr say cant see the heartbeat , he gave me folicacid n duphaston for 20days( cost $150 expensive ?) , ask me to do 2nd scaning on 14/9 ... im worry n pray everyday, one thing borther me is i hv no sydome at all , just like normal , no vomit , no tired , everything as per normal .... im so worry ... did everyone got same experience like me ... pls advice , now really no mood to work at all ...btw im 36 already i really hope this time don disappointed me ... pray hard ....

4 week preg is abit too early to experience preg symptoms. mine started at 6th week. from that moment onwards, i puke all the way till 5mth+. LOL!!!!

anw, congrats on ur pregnancy! tc and rest well. dun forget to take the folid acid and duphaston daily =)

Hi, I can understand how u feel cos I went thru the same for my first pregnancy. Was delighted to know I was pregnant then but cant detect heartbeat then got to abort it.

Don't be discouraged, my second one went on ok though I was very worried too at that time. I got no symptoms then and was even bleeding till 4 mths. I'm a happy mother of 3 now.

Don't think too much, just take this chance to rest well. Usually gynae can't detect heartbeat at 4 wks, shd be able to see by 7 wks. God bless

actualy Duphaston not for every pregnant women rite ?? cos my sil (age 25) who also pregnant but she didnt take this pill ..

Duphaston is not for all. for my 1st preg, my gyane didnt prescribe me. but ended up i suay suay MC due to bb stopped his heartbeat at 11th week. and during my 2nd preg, lik u, at 4th week+ cant detect any heartbeat + i had MC history cos i was give Duphaston. it is to increase the preg hormonse or sth which i suspect is the reason y i had v bad ms.

u're at 5week preg only.. most ppl get symptons from 6-8weeks onwards. and some ppl dun even hav any symptoms. just as per normal. my fren has 2 kids. both her pregnancy were so smooth that no one can tell she was preg. relax! =)

At 4 weeks, you don't really see anything much except for a tiny dot. I'm sure by your next visit you'll see the little beating heart... meanwhile do keep your spirits up and stay positive. happy mummy = happy bb!

For both my pregnancies, I did not have any symptoms except for missing my period... I only found out I was pregnant when I was about 8weeks when I did the pregnancy test after waiting for my period. I took duphaston for my 2nd pregnancy as I experienced bleeding... had initially thought I had some medical problem (coz the ladies in my family has a history of ovarian cysts.

Hi, yup, you need not worry too much. Just relax yrself and everythg will be fine. Initially when I went for my first scanning I was only in my 4 weeks. I can only see an empty sac, no ntg. I was also anxious, just like u. And I had totally no symptoms at all too. Not even vomiting. Till now, I'm alrdy 14+ weeks I still feel v normal. Not even nauseaus. Hah but my baby is growing healthily. So u actually need not wry too much. Will keep u in prayers!

Hi 1ibabes...About 3 days ago,i also went for my first check-up at arnd 4weeks..Gynae couldnt detect anything..Just told me that the lining of my uterus is thickening,that's all..But he told me not to worry as at 4weeks,it is very very early to detect anything when you go for your scans..I was told to see him again in 3weeks time..Hopefully,by then,we could at least see something..!!

During my first pregnancy,my baby's heartbeart was detected at 6weeks so yes i understand how you feel..Dont stress yourself too much dear.. :001_302:

many ppl dun hav symptoms. lik what i said, even for those who have, mostly only started at 6-8weeks. i tell u lorr, when the symptoms lik MS comes, u will pray hard it will goes away asap. LOL!

Oscar test is to test whether ur bb has Down syndrome. i didnt take the test though. No offence, but since u're 36, i think u shd go for the test, just to play safe =)

as for animo test, only mummies who 'fail the Oscar has to go for it. the 'fail' i meant was: if the Oscar shows that one has high chance of carrying a DS baby. but most mummies here went for animo test aft getting a 'no-so-good' result for Oscar but their bb are perfectly alright aft all the tests.
