Queries regarding sending kid to childcare centre

Hi mummies!

As I will be returning to work full time soon, I was thinking of sending my son to childcare centre when he meets the minimum age..

Appreciate your advice:

1) At what age can we send our kid to childcare centre?
2) What do they learn at the centre?
3) Do we have to register them in advance, and how long in advance?

Hi,

I will answer your questions to my best knowledge

1. Most child care centres accept kids from 18mths onwards. Some have infant care as well which takes in babies too.

2. Depending on the age and the curriculum the centre provides. Its better to check with the principal there and feel for yourself. Also depending on your expectation.

3. If your area is not flooded with CC choices, yes i believe you could need to wait longer as MCY does have standard enrollment ratio for all CC. Also if you are aiming at popular centres, they could be full at this time of the year.
