SAHMs, at what age wld you send your preschooler to school? To playgrp/kindy or childcare? What is your budget? I am contemplating sending my younger boy at 18mths to the same CC my elder gal is attending now, but I might be quitting my job next year so am still wondering. The CC/schbus fares will cost us in the region of $1k per mth.

Thanks very much in advance for your comments.

hello. :)

My girl is 19 months and I've registered her with Talentplus Playgroup for 2010. Its a daily 2 hour programme. Our intention of sending her there is for her to socialise more than anything else.

Talent Plus Playschool > To develop rich hearts and eager minds

Their fees are 135 per month. Uniform is $30, 2 sets. Registration fee i cant remember.

I sent my gal (18months) to playgroup (10 lessons, 2hrs/ 1/week) and montessori (2hrs/ 3times/weeks). We paid $400+ for playgroup and montessori/per term $1000+

Next yr Jan, she will be attending PreN in kindy, $600/term

If you are going to be at home why not let them go kindergarden instead?
For your boy too young, can go to playgroup or those once once a week kinda thing.
I think would be cheaper??

I have not decided if I shld quit yet but he's fast approaching 18 mths. I have a slot for him in the cc now bcos of sibling priority, otherwise there's a long long queue.

Sigh, decisions, decisions, decisions...

if u r gg to send him to cc, then i dun think u shld quit.
if u r intending to quit, then look into your finances. if it allows, maybe u can send your boy to Playgroup or if CC, then u can look for a parttime job.
