Hi, I guess I am the "new victim". I went on Dec 29th and 4 hours later when i got home, I felt itchy over the face and develop red rashes. I called the service consultant immediately and she said was normal. Asked me to rinse my face and dont't use any product. If rashes still develope, I can come and look for her the next day. the next morning, I wake up and shock to see my face all swollen with rashes and eyes puffy. I couldnt even recognised myself in the mirror. I ran to see a doctor and he told me my skin was reacting to the chemical of the product. thereafter i went to see Shakura and told them about it and demand the refund of my money. She told me it was out of her authority and will arranged the specialist to meet me at 9 o'clock. The next day, face got worsten, I didnt hear anything from them and I went to Shakura again, this time, they told me they cannot locate the specialist as he was in the meeting whole day. When i insist to speak to the specialist, they put me to a company's secretary and told me the specialist is on holiday and defer my appointment till Jan 7th. Can you imagine that such a big company is relying on only 1 specilist to analysis my face condition? and it has to wait till jan 7th???? Is this how an after service to treat a customer who develop skin irritation condition ? I thought immediate advice should be given for emergency.

My face continue to swell for the next 6 days and i suffer alot for itchiness and pain. I didn't enjoy my new year's eve and new year and I didnt to go to work due to my horrible face and pain. During these time, no one from Shakura care to follow up and care for my skin condition and status.

I dont't not know what will they say when they see me on Jan 7th.
I should have check teh background first before I engage them.

That's quick. I'm still waiting on the GM Christine to get in touch with me. Otherwise I will proceed by going to the Consumer Tribunal/ suing them.

They "refused" to let me go for not signing up and I was late for appointment. Keep explaining to me and throwing more offers and after taking my card to check if installment can be done, it was taken to be processed. I was in a daze when everything happened because everything was so fast.
I was not explained about the clauses of termination and in a hurry, everything was signed as I was overwhelmed by 2 people serving me at the same time. :( Once I am done with my other appointment, I saw the clause that states that it's not refundable etc.

I went back to tell them I want a refund but they say they will only lodge for me and I can only find out a week later. I told them I feel "pressured" into signing the package as they didn't give me time to consider at all.
Jenny, how did your case go?
Seriously need help.

Appreciate your reply as I intend to go to Small Claims Tribunal. This is causing me a lot of stress. :(

For those who are Malaysian, has anyone gone through the Hearing at the Tribunal and gotten their refund back? Its no point talking with Shakura, they will only persuade you to stay or change beautician or whatever that will make you stay. If not, they will only refund you less than half of what you have paid.

oh my!! i too did sms for the fee consultation at Shakura. They did call me back for followup but i was looking for slot in my schedule to go.. i guess i was damn lucky its CNY last week n this week. & i really did tell them i will sign up( i thot i wanted to give it a try!) cos my mum signed up for NY and thot i try another salon..

so today i search them on google and saw tis post! scary shhhhh****ttt..

hope u guys get yr claims back ans most importantly get back your condition of the face.. phheeww~!

I went there last week to do the free trial. Before the free trial, the consultant tok to me like abt 35 mins, scanned and say my skin got alot of problem, die die want me to top up additional $100 to put the "milk essence". I insisted and rejected, she abit buay song, she said the trial facial only got "softening, cleansing and facial" cos since I no do top up, dun have clearing of black heads etc. She was not v gentle when she handled my face.

Anyway, the trial took abt 45 mins (most time spent waiting for the mask to harden). After the trial facial, the consultant bu si xin, try to ask me to sign up again. She scanned my skin again, said the condition improved alot (looked v real on the computer screen), but since the effect of the before and after was v great, I very doubtful of what they claim was true. But politely, still told them thank you but I won't be signing up.

Then she went out and came in with another consultant, tried to ask me to sign again. Told me to pay $300 to join as member, I can choose either get 3 "special facial" or they can give me "5 standard facials". I told them I really won't be signing. Then they increase to 6 facial with special eye masks and a travel kit.

Told them I won't be signing, then they asked me whether I satisfy with their "senior consultant's skill", I told them ok, then they said since I ok w the skill, can see the before and after result, they asked me repeatedly why I don't want to sign. I told them is personal preference. Then they asked why I come all the way just for free facial, so free, nothing to do?

I told them , free facial, why cannot try. They asked me if I want, they can give me instalment for the $300 or can pay deposit first. I rejected, told them if $300 also need instalment, how to sign up facial package.

Then they told me, if I don't sign on, management from HQ w be unhappy with them, w think that they do something wrong or didn't serve me well and w affect their performance. They asked me to pity them and sign, still tell them nope.

The whole second consultation took abt 45 mins w the 2 gals, finally I told them, I have come and tried the free facial, I am no obliged to sign anything, I have to leave cos to rush to pick up my gal from school. They still won't let me go, told them if the whole thingy turn ugly and I get upset, then I may not be a "easy person" to handle. Finally they give up and let me go.

I'm sorry to know that some of you become a victim due to this Shakura Pigmentation. Well just to share with you all, I recently tried Ageloc R2 supplement for few months and my scaring lighten. Hi Jenny,Did you lodge a complaint with the Small claims tribunal? I feel really gullible to have signed up for 5 sessions, then upgraded to 20 sessions at a cost of S$3,600 + GST. What did you sign up for? Anyway, after my first session, my face is feeling itchy. Am going to try canceling the whole deal + return the products & pay for the 1 session if that can resolve the issue.
Claire, any updates with your claim? I also want to lodge one. Thanks.
