Shakura pigmentation Salon at PlazaSing

Recently we received feedback on consumers filling complaints against NYSS. I know that one of the consumer actually reported to CASE. I would like to talk to some of the consumers who filed a complaint and get more details about the case.
If you are willing to share more with me, you can reply to this email or call me at 8700 8178. I would like to talk to other consumers as well if you know any of them.
I am looking forward for your reply. Thank you.

Just sharing some personal experience with some of these facial or beauty industry..

Such as Shakura beauty, Yun Nam haircare, Cheryl Wee wellness..

Basically the staffs in this industry has the tendency to push you signing up packages after packages even before you completed what you have signed initially.

Worst encounter would be Shakura.
At least Cheryl Wellness staffs genuinely meant well and know their limits of hardselling. Yunnam haircare did not pester me after I MIA after 3 sessions.

After my free trial at Shakura, the consultant went through the skin of the face analysis and explained the dryness etc. Usually they would not ask which package you are keen, they will decide and offer you the price.

So it was a package of 20sessions of up to $4000 worth. Then they will ask whether you have credit card as the monthly instalment is interest free. Basically it is taking your credit limit while the bank pays for your package first and you will pay back the bank via monthly instalment. After payment, the bank slip says any balance of payment to be fully beared by consumer. There is also an acknowledgement form on refund policy which you will probably sign blindly while your consultant keeps talking to you. Verbally, no one will tell you about refund policy. In actual fact, on the acknowledgement form, you can cancel within 5 or 7 working days and get full refund.

So on my first official treatment of the 20 sessions, as I laid there with my eyes covered, consultant brought in the "doctor" as claimed. Technically this "doctor" is just another facial specialist. Funnily, looking one glance, the "doctor", whom I did not even get to see her face until end of my treatment, claimed that I have slight ecezma. For almost 30 years in my life, i did not encounter any skin problem.

So at the end of 1st session, this "doctor" suggested me to spend up to $9000 for early treatment before ecezma hits me. She claimed that seeing the actual doctor will incur more expenses and she is willing to help now. Fyi, $9000 is a discounted price to be her model. I kept emphasing that it is a huge burden to me considering I have just started to work, and her face turned stern and just sat there waiting for me to agree. So I gave in. After taking my credit card, she went out of the room to proceed with payment. Unfortunately or not, she tried more than 3 times to succeed in getting a deductible amount. That is right, she maxed out my credit limit at $6500 instead since $9000 did not succeed.

At this point i was quite furious that she did not consult me before maxing out my credit limit as I am not aware of this previously. Fyi, I am not a believer of credit card until recently.

This time, there was no form or any agreement signed. No receipt of treatment either. Only 1 slip of payment transaction.

Here is the Customer service number of Shakura (apparently they are under Euro Group, and Yunnam is under them too) : 65141527. The lady Patsy Xie will be the one and only to deal with you.

Patsy is a genuine nice lady and helps to resolve my issue.

She explained that usually after 80% consumption of the first package before the consultant should recommend a second package, under consumer's rights. She then explained the refund policy clearly as well. Even if you are not free to make a trip down to the outlet, Shakura will email you the termination of policy for refund form and you just have to sign it and email back. However, Patsy will put you through the consultant first. Only after a conversation with the consultant will the termination be allowed. Even if it is telecommunication.

Obviously you gotta hold your stand and be determined in termination.

Rule 1: Question as much as you can instead of letting the consultant talk.

Rule 2: If acting poor does not help, insist that you have no credit or debit card. At most sacrifice up to $100 cash for a lesson learnt.

Rule 3: Beauty salons are just extra service if you are lazy to maintain your own face. Getting masks and haircare and do it daily at home is way cheaper than all these services.

Going through CASE if you have damaged face or large amount of claim. Because it takes alot of hassle and requires some administrative fees. Dont have to waste your time and effort unless the company refuse to refund. Obviously full refund is unlikely if you exceeded the terms and conditions, but better than nothing

Hope this helps!

20 years in the beauty industry,
The advice I can give you is to be careful on the beauty salon, and many unscrupulous beauty salons use poor quality products.
Also did not pay attention to cleanliness。
Customers have spent money wasted and can not see the effect

not a mummy but i am really glad i found this thread! can't believe there are so many people experiencing all the boohoos from shakura and i thought i was the only one

dont wish to recall the nightmare experience i had but to summarise...

1. rude and hungry for money staff
not referring to all the staff, but all the staff that i encounterd at shakura was a total nightmare. appears to be nice and friendly but turns into a lioness when i tried to 'escape' from their hard selling. making me feel as if i will cause harm to their beloved pet/family/bolster if i dont sign on more of package.
really make me wonder how much bonus do they get when they successfully 'chop' someone?
ok now i am more interested to know how the staff are trained. do they get locked up in a cell for 1 year and someone will be there screaming "GET CUSTOMERS TO SIGN SIGN SIGN MORE PACKAGE", "NO PACKAGE = BYE BYE TO YOUR JOB", "PACKAGE PACKAGE GET THEM TO SIGN ON", "SIGNNNNNNN ALL THE PACKAGE"?

2. did not even solve my skin problem
i didn't see any improvement or changes to my skin at all. i kept pictures of my skin before and after every session so i know it was bull when the staff kept saying "there's definitely an improvement" dadada, "your skin improved so much" dadadada, "i remember your pigmentation was so bad when you first came", "your skin will improve even more if you do dis dat.."
