hi mamma's,
my baby was born without any birthmark, but when she was 3 weeks old, she developed 'strawberry birthmark on her left arm. its was 2 actually that very close to each other. but now she is 11 weeks, n the marks getting slightly bigger n redder n joined together become one mole now!
i went to see 2 paedetrician, n they told me the same answer! ' it will fade by itself n will dissapeared by the age, say 2...or maybe 5!
u know, im juz worried that mole will become bigger n pain. i tot of going to remove it, but i think i juz have to let it be as long its not hurthing her, rite??

any mommies here had a same problem before? does the mole will fade away n completely dissapear?

im juz an over concern mum i guess...
i tot of adding her picture here so that u guys can see her mole, but i dono how....:)

My friend's son has something like that on his lower cheek on she brought him for laser treatment to lighten it.

Quan also has a red patch on his left eye which the doctor also said it will fade and disappear by the age of 2. I hope it will really be gone by then or it will be a discount on his handsome face...

Its more obvious when he is crying. The doctor ever mentioned that so long as it is not protuding, there's nothing to be worried about.

My baby also has a patch of birthmark on her right hand. I have brought her to see a pd skin specialist when she is about a month old. The doc told be that such patch is call mongolian blue spot (flat not raise). Colour can range from redish to dark blue(deeper pigmentation). This birthmark may or may not disappear. He ask me to come see him again when my baby is 9 mths to determine whether to proceed with the laser treatment.

:err: I've one on my right arm, right in the centre, up to today. But it definitely fades alot since NB until now. :)

Belle has a 5cent size red patch on her right thigh up to today. It's not very obvious, so I guess it's fine. :p

As long as it's not painful or protruding, I think it's fine..

I think it's a coincidence. I also do a lot of crafts n I even painted the room + wall sticker decor myself but my bb is ok.

My ex-colleague's boy was born with the same strawberry mark on his face.

He is in P2 now and the mark has faded and flattened. If you stare closely, you can still see it, but if you don't you wont know it's there.

No hurry on any treatments cos they'll outgrow it. And if you want the treatment to be effective, do it when they are older. Cos my sis had some birthmarks on her face too, then went for laser treatment when she was 2-3yo. Sadly, it came back as the doctor predicted.

my boy's strawberry mark is on the side of his thigh... its getting bigger but some parts seems to have faded. Doc say dont worry so i did not bother much about it.. initially i thought was some rash but since doc say its a strawberry mark and nothing much can be done about it, i left it alone.
